Just wondering if anyone has hasda massage, if so tell me everything! ;) ;) ;)

I want to surprise my Mom with a massage. :D :D :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

We stayed in the AKL concierge this April. I had a 50 minute massage there. It was wonderful, about $80 with tip (I think). The massage therapist was really wonderful and the gym/spa is very nice. When you arrive they give you a locker to put your clothes in and then give you a robe to wear. The room was quiet and comfortable. The only thing that I did not like was the table. It had no arm rests so your arms were kind of hanging there when you were on the table. But it was really a great experience overall.

Thanks looking forward!

Do they offer different styles/types of massages? Can you request a same gender masseuse?

You can request a specific gender massuese, but it's not guaranteed.

I've always had females at WDW. But the two best massages I've ever had were by men at another spa. One of them possibly saved my life by noticing a lump on my spine and pointing it out. It turned out to be a tumor which was surgically removed about a month later. They are all discrete and I've never felt uncomfortable with either gender.

Yes, they *can* do different types of massages ~ my husband had a more relaxing one, while I requested more of an accupressure type massage, which is much firmer. And yes, you can request same gender service, though honestly, one of the best massages I've ever had at WDW was by a male. But, whatever you're comfortable with!

I'm staying at AKL and sending my DD28 & DGD7 off to Discovery Cove one day. I don't know why I don't want to go, but I really don't have the desire to. I'm planning on hanging out at the resort and maybe getting a massage. That accupressure massage sounds like it's for me. I have lots of lower back trouble, especially when on my feet a lot. imbe@aol.com. do you think this massage would help?

ducklite, that's awsome that the guy giving your massage found that lump....I'm glad that worked out for you.

Yes, I absolutely think that an accupressure type massage would be helpful! I get them pretty regularly at home too, b/c of a BAD case of TMJ and they do wonders. Now, just one massage isn't going to "cure" you forever, but it sure will help!
