Anyone going to be at POR Sept 30-Oct 6th time frame??

Pirates of Huron ... i noticed you are from Owen Sound ... how are you getting to DW?? Are you flying ... if so when do you leave??

We are driving ... we leave Wed. evening, Sept 27!!

We considered driving as well, but got a great direct flight direct from Toronto!!

So ... it looks like we will all be there for the kickoff of the Year of a Million Dream. I wonder if they will have any special events on October 1st?? Has anyone heard of anything?? The disney site said our names are automatically entered when visiting disney property. I wonder how they do that and are you entered every day you are on property or just once per visit?? It would be great to win ... anything ... i'm not picky!!

Pirates of Huron.........just a little FYI, if the Lewiston Queeenston bridge is backed up, there is usually much less of a wait at the Rainbow. (If that's the way you're going via Niagara Falls). Hopefully at that time at night, you shouldn't have much of a problem. Remember your birth certificates/passports. You will need them at the border.

I'm wondering if we won't be entered at all since our resort reservation starts BEFORE Oct 1st. Any thoughts anyone?

Busy Mom ... i am interpreting this description from the Disney site to mean that you just to be present on one of the giveaway days (which start on Oct 1st.)

"You will automatically be entered into the Giveaway (subject to meeting the eligibility requirements set forth above) and have a chance to be randomly selected to win a prize in the Giveaway by being present during the Giveaway Period in: Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park, Epcot®, Magic Kingdom® Park, Disney-MGM Studios, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, or the Downtown Disney® area near Orlando, Florida (collectively, the "Florida Disney Properties"); etc ...."
Therefore I am assuming we will be including, but will be sure to ask when we check in!!

I have been a lurker since april and I couldn't resist any longer. I had to join the fun!! We'll be in the Alligator Bayou section. We stayed there last year for free dining...back for more this year!

Anyone have any inside scope on the weather???
