Anyone get a GTY assignment for May yet??

That's me too! We don't sail until May 29 so I know it's still too early to be expecting it but 1 person on our cruise thread got her room # about 2 weeks ago for the same category as us.

We rec'd our room assingment for the 5/29 Double Dip a few weeks ago - booked an 11A, rec'd an 11A. Very happy with the location.

One tip - if you booked w/ DU, make sure you're checking the Disney Website for the room assignment. Our DU reservation hasn't been updated with the room number yet, but I see it if I look at the DCL site.

DCL just posted our cabin assignment for our 5/10 Alaska cruise. No upgrade, but we're on the boat!

We're still GTY. I'm thinking no news is good news, not hoping for an upgrade - we never ever get upgrades. I just can't wait to find out so I can start obsessing over the cabin #!

Me too, I always like to know exactly where my cabin is and the number.Maybe next time, I'll book the cabin I want and not go through this. I think I'll be a basket case if they don't assign me a cabin until I am ready to leave or worse still, until I get there !! And thanks, I did go and check again and DCL is up again now, but no assignment ! pj

May 10th Alaska, booked as soon as the gold cc opened on day 1. Booked 11c, got 11c. Friends who are booked on the same cruise and linked with us also got an 11c. So, we took 2 of the 11c cabins for ya'll! Happy to be on the boat though!!

Yay ! yes I received my room assignment for the May 7th Magic cruise this morning, and I'm very happy that I received the 11B cat that I had booked

We were hoping for an upgrade, but no pixie dust for us. Just a little worried now about being that close to the front of the ship. Still happy to know what our room is. See you on the cruise.

I am new and I am not sure I know what "GTY" is?
we don't go until next May but I was told our room was 2017 (we are going on the Dream 2012

You don't need to worry about a GTY as you are booked with a specific cabin number.. A GTY is a 'guarantee' category where you are guaranteed a cabin in a particular category ( or better) but mostly you get the category that you booked into. You just don't get a cabin number until later. In my case it seems to be much later! But for all this waiting and not picking your actual cabin, the cost is usually much less. Hope this explains it for you.pj

what's your room #? I only ask b/c we go in 2012 and I think our room is a 11c...
