Anyone get a good AP room only rate for late August?

Hoping to get a great rate for AP room only in late August for surprise trip for family.

These rates were fine if you don't already have a discount. If you have an existing reservation under a different code, it's probably better than this bunch of AP discounts.

True! I have an AP and go to WDW several times a year. This batch of AP discounts is the absolute worst I've ever seen. They were only like what 5% more than the GP discounts, which were pretty bad themselves. For my upcoming Sept trip at CSR I kept the bounce back ressie I booked back when I was there in May. It beat the AP discount, by several hundred dollars.

OT: Despite doing everything people say generates a PIN, I have never gotten a PIN from WDW. However a couple of days ago I got a PIN from Universal that would cover both my upcoming Sept and Nov/Dec trips for 40% off their deluxe resorts. Yeah, I could stay at a Deluxe resort at Universal cheaper than a moderate at WDW (if I were using the AP discount at WDW).

Do you think that because of the discounts offered as of Aug 14.. that the hotels/parks are going to be ultra crowded? I am trying to fit in a last minute disney vacation myself for this august and I am not getting any availability at many of the hotels for the second and third weeks of August. I know I should expect it because of the "last Minute" thing... BTW am I missing what PINS are? Is this through the mail that DW sends us?
