Heading Home to the Marketplace
We headed towards the bus stop to grab Disney Transport back to the resort.
You would think that at this hour of the day, the buses wouldn't be running to peak hour schedule. So I was expecting to have a possible 30 minute wait here.
We found the appropriate spot to get in line and wait. I don't remember how long we waited for the bus to come, which probably means that I wasn't unduly annoyed with how long it did or didn't take.
I do know from my pictures that the wait was 2 monorails long. Isn't it just sad when I measure the passing of time from these kind of elements?
As an aside, I think I mentioned that I bought a Mitch Albom to read on the plane. At the time that I wrote that, I hadn't yet broken the spine and it had come home unread. But I have read it now. The book that I bought was the Time Keeper. It's a typical Mitch book; comparatively light reading and some elements for you to introsepctively think about your own life. The one thing that got me thinking from this book was he made the comment that time is a something that man keeps or words to that effect. So I've been doing a bit of introspection this year around time. The segmentation into seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, years etc......who made that up? And we do run our lives according to a schedule and according to the clock. I think I completely orbited around my work calendar last year and everything was always delivered to the minute.
What if time and the clock didn't exist? Would we have filled it with some other way of measurement? Would we have this concept of time passing in a linear way? I'm trying to make sure my life isn't quite so scheduled this year. I'd like to make space for randomness to happen.
Okay; diversion done. Back to the past and this TR.
Our trip back on the bus was uneventful and aside from a little detour in the lobby, the boys made for the pool immediately. I took a little more time to get there. A little window shopping was in order.
I also wanted to check out the bakery options at the Marketplace.
Someone has to think about the practicalities of breakfast food and snacks.
I loved walking around the Marketplace and looking at things. I realised that everything looks better and tastier the minute you slap Mickey on the merchandise.
I did also take some time to admire the architecture of the Beach Club Villa.
And to capture that iconic picture of Ariel. Who knew if I would have the opportunity to do so again on this trip?
Which is why I also stepped into the BreezeWay to take a few pictures.
Such an inviting nook.
Just like the rest of this room.
I didn't stay long there. I made my way down long corridors to the room.
And got changed to join the boys for a nice afternoon at StormAlong Bay. I didn't take my camera so there are no pictures of the afternoon lazing here. SAB is just such a wonderful resort pool to come home to.
