Anyone flown on USA3000?

AFter finally getting hold of someone, USA 3000 cheerfully refunded my money for the Dec flight that was changed from a nonstop to a layover. They were very nice about it. I rebooked us on a N/S Continental for $50 LESS than USA3000, so I'm thrilled about that, too! Whew...that's a relief!

When are you flying in December? I have USA3000 booked out of Cleveland for December 1. I checked and it is still direct, but worried if they will change that.

I am kicking myself because Continental is comparable to USA3000 right now

Debbie

I just went to usa3000.com and clicked on Make a Reservation. I got 'The page cannot be found'. HTTP error 400. Hmmm.

Sounds like you may need to reboot.

Very Cool.

i have not read all the way thru the thread (sorry!) but this jumped out at me and i have a suggestion... get a travel agent! he/she will find you the best price!

also, i do not know where in CT you are, but i have never had a problem getting $49 from long island (islip) to mco at any time of year (via swa) and a) do not think they are overpriced at all... any chance you would be willing to fly from there (you could take the ferry)... also, there are often great fares out of providence which, depending on where you are in ct, would be worth looking into...

Thank you. I could fly out of either port, however, the ferry takes 1.5 hours, then the drive. It can be an option.

Also, I don't use TA's. I like to be responsible instead of giving my arrangements to someone else. I had a bad experience and sadly it has changed my view on TA's.

Goofy22,

I saw you said USA3000 cancelled you flight in Oct out of Philly. When are you going? I am asking because we are supposed to leave on the 28 of Oct out of Philly and arrive back on the 6th? I haven't heard anything about my flight. Thanks

Vanessa

I was flying 12/6 and was rerouted thru Pittsburg. I'm on a direct flight from Continental now (although to get it $50 *less* than the USA flight, I had to add an extra day...DARN! :rotfl2: )

I flew with then last summer without any problems. A friend has flown with them several times, also without any problems.

I just booked this morning for our April trip. USAirways wanted $725.80 for two R/T tickets. Spirit was over $900. AirTran was high too. I got two R/T tickets for $343.80 on USA3000. We leave on April 12 and return on the 17th.

I was going to wait for Southwest to open up, but was afraid I would miss it, since we're probably going to be in WDW when they do.

I'm very happy with the price I got today. :)

We decided to do the same thing. We couldn't wait for the SWA frenzie that will sell out in one hour sometime between Thanksgiving and New Years.... :sad2:  :rolleyes2  :scared: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache:

So we booked Newark April 12 through 21st to MCO. Round trip pp/$204. - everyone else? Priceless :teeth:

I did the same thing for Cleveland to Orlando February 15th return on the 20th. Direct flight for two round trip $573.80, best rate yesterday on Southwest $575.20 with one stop. Thought I had done very well until I started reading the horror stories on this site about the cancellations of one way of other folks itineraries or both. I wouldn't worry so much if it was just me but I made the arrangements for another Majorette Mom, both our kids are marching at the MK on the 17th. Can anyone share reasons why they cancel flights? Any way of checking to see how many seats are left on flights? I'm a little worried as you probably can tell.

Give them a call. I called to check on my December flight after reading about cancellations on this board.

I took your advice and contacted them. There are 9 seats available on our flight out for February 15th. That makes me feel a lot better. On the return trip, February 20th there are 42 seats available, I would feel a lot better if there was only 9 left on that one. The gentleman that I spoke to said that they occasionally have to cancel flights due to weather, I understand that completely. He also said that due to lack of interest flights have been cancelled but that is a very rare situation. OK, I may not totally believe that it is very rare. He did say that sometimes they will add a stop in. No big deal about that, as long as I can get there and back on the days I have reservations for. Heck if I flew Southwest I would have a stop anyways and would have to pay more for the guaranteed stops. I’m feeling a little better now about my reservations. I will call back next month and probably the following month to see how many seats are still available; I want to see those 42 seats sold!

USA3000 called to cancel our April 2006 flight. Both departure and arrival flights were canceled due to energy costs. (????). Oh well.

We booked with Song for $209.00/pp, direct from NYC to MCO. All other directs were starting at $406/pp out of any tri-state major airport.

Now, we see that Delta will be getting rid of Song in May. That's after our trip, though, you know we'll be getting the stale pretzels on that flight. :-0

Oh great. They just cancelled our return flight on 12/5. Unfortunately I cannot find a comparable fare - we'll have to pay $20 more per ticket as of today. I'm really kind of po'ed.

Richnkatholly!

They cancelled my 12/5 return flight too, I posted it on Sunday. I got a full-refund and booked a better timed flight with Air Tran for a total of $46 less. Do you have Air Tran?

Also I looked at AirTran's site on Sun night and the flight that we got was not available for the $49 price, but then when I went on yesterday it was!

Well, I just pm'd you RicknKatHolly. I was on that same flight that was cancelled. I am waiting for my AAA agent to call me back on my car rental. I might ask her about flights. They assured me on the phone if I changed flights completely they would refund my the whole thing or I have the option to just rebook the One Way was that was cancelled, with a refund on that also.

Tessqt, what time is your return flight? I just booked 4:43 - 7:05. 79 bucks. I paid 59 before. I now have to call USA and get my money back

Geesh - we only found out today, but by then AirTran is up to $79. We found a cheaper JetBlue flight out of Newark and opted to refund the entire RT ticket and rebook with JetBlue. I just wish I could get my refund immediately. We now have to charge the JetBlue tickets.

Oh well, thank goodness we still get to go I guess.

We got the 10:30AM flight out Monday 12/5, I was thrilled because there is a 7:45AM which was 45 minutes earlier than the USA3000 return, so we can take it alittle easier in the morning. I lucked out because this flight was not available at the lower fair, only the +200 fare, then apparently the opened it up again!

I just went on the site all the flights are $79 and the 10:30AM we're on is not available for $79 only $102! Man luck was with me yesterday.
