I'll admit it --- NYE is my least favorite holiday because it always makes me feel like a loser when I don't have plans. For some reason, I always feel some sort of ridiculous pressure to do something "cool" on NYE, and I really never do anything that could be considered cool. I was in a funk all day yesterday becuase my husband and I have no plans for tonight. And it isn't even like I want to go out partying on the town or anything, I just wish someone had invited us out to dinner or over to their house. I have always felt more pressure on NYE than Valentine's Day (even when I was single, Valentine's Day never depressed me like NYE does.)
Oh well, it is almost over. And I did promise my husband that I would be in a good mood tonight. We're going to make something nice for dinner and maybe go to the movies. And, of course, have some champagne!

Plan a party at your house and ask them first.
It's almost like more trouble than it's worth. So much easier and more peaceful to just stay home. I thought we were the only "losers" who copped out because of the little one...
