If so, can you tell me how big the trunk space is?

We are thinking about renting one when we go for our Disney Cruise in July, and we will need to store our suitcases in the trunk, as we want to do Sea World before we check into our hotel. Can we get 4 medium suitcases in the trunk?

I don't believe that Ford even manufactures the Taurus anymore, so I don't think you'll be renting one. :confused3

I think the Ford Five Hundred or the Fusion took its place - I don't know which is which. Maybe I'm wrong? Maybe they're still making them for rentals? Didn't the Fords for Nascar change to Fusions this year because the Taurus went away?

Maybe the rental company hasn't updated their website for 2006?

Maybe, but this is what the Budget site has for "full-size cars":
FORD TAURUS-4DR/5PSGR
or similar

full-size
automatic
air-conditioned

I can answer both questions. We have 3 Tauruses, 2 sedans and a wagon. I was just in the dealer and he said they still make the Taurus for fleet sales which I think would include rentals.

I drive the station wagon but when I have occasion to drive a sedan, it has a very large trunk. We have traveled in it some and I think it would hold 4 suitcases but I can't say I've done it.

Last time we were supposed to get a Taurus we wound up with a Mitsubishi Gallant.

I have an 05 Taurus Sedan and there's quite a bit of trunk space. 4 suitcases and 2 backpacks fit very easily into mine.

Taurus trunk space: 17 cubic feet
Fusion trunk space: 15.8 cubic feet
500 trunk space: 21.2 cubic feet (future mob enforcement favorite).

You should be fine with those suitcases.

Thanks, everyone!!!

I love how helpful everyone is around here!!! :cheer2:

My mom has one. We used it on one of our trips to Disney. I would say that you would be able to fit it. It has a pretty big trunk.
