Anyone attend ESPN weekend at MGM?

We went! It was a blast...I'll be posting details in my trip report hopefully later this week. We met tons of people and had lots of fun - I didn't think it was that crowded at all.....BUT that comes from me...we only went this weekend for that...we didn't go to MGM with the intent of doing RNR and HTOT or anything. By afternoon the wait times were 60 and 30 min for those respectively.

DH and I went, and as usual we had a great time. Next year we plan on going all three days. We didn't make it through the whole day Saturday because DH was sick.

We saw:
A bunch of ESPN personalities (Linda Cohen, Stuart Scott, Trey Wingo, Chris Berman, Mike Golic and Sal Palantonio to name a few).
Sports people: Jerry Rice (how awesome is that??!!??!!), Takeo Spikes, Chad Johnson, Priest Holmes, Tony Gonzalez, Bruce Jenner, Bonnie Blair (one of my heros, so I was excited), Amanda Beard, and Scott Westcott (who gave us some non-media, other side look into Bode Miller, thank you very much).

I wish I could have gone Sunday, because Hines Ward, Joey Porter and Ike Taylor were there. Oh well.

The interactive area looked like lots of fun. We just looked around, didn't participate because DH was feeling lousy.

If you are a sports nut, you need to go!

We were there a year or two ago when Joe Nameth was there and some football player whose last name was Kelley. The boys loved it. They got autographs on silver mini-footballs and went around back where they had basketball shooting and all kinds of stuff.

I hated it, because I do not like sports, but the boys LOVED it!

That would be Jim Kelly, former Buffalo Bills Quarterback (now Hall of Fame Quarterback). I was there then and saw both of them as well. :) At least Namath didn't ask to kiss anyone that day. :rotfl:

I was there. I loved it. Sat. we walked right on to RNR. And I didn't find it to be that crowded.

Sunday we had a 30 min wait for TOT.

It was so cool to see all the sports people. It was funny on when Jerry Rice was coming thru they were making comments about him and dancing.

And everyone should ask him a question about it.
