Called again - nothing but the Value resorts with a discount for 11/5 - 11/12. Says maybe the Soap weekend (11/12) may have something to do with it! Darn!

I had a room only reservation at POFQ for Dec 6 - Dec 11. From what I had read these dates were during a blackout for the promotion. I called anyway this morning and told them I'd heard there were some new codes and would like to try for my dates to upgrade to a pkg. I asked him to try YQC and YQE w/dining. At first he said FOFQ was not available during this time but CSR was . He priced it out for me and w/either code it was a savings of $224.40 over what the same pkg would have cost yesterday. I then asked him to check Pop Century and he said there was no availability at all in the values durning this time with the codes. I told him I'd like to do the pkg but I had my heart set on POFQ (If I had to stay w/a mod) He told me to hang on and about 10 min later he came back and said he'd got it ok'd for me to keep my room at POFQ and get the discount. 5 night FOFQ std, 5 day tickets w/hopper (2 adults 2 kids under 9 ) and dining for $1836.36. Yesterday it was $2060.76. I'm so excited I was able to get any discount for my dates. Good luck to you all.

Anyone know WHY 12/4-12/10 is blocked out with this new package? I'm going 12/3-12/10..and now I'm wondering if it's going to be really crowded for some reason? I know the cheerleader thing is going on, and I can deal with that..but is there something else I don't know??

I'm wondering the same thing, as I'll be there during that time as well. There has to be some reason for this blackout period.

for dec 10 through 17, sav view at akl, and seven-day hoppers for three adults, one child, i was quoted 2996.61 using code yqc.
my aaa rate was only 2768 (1858 for the room, 910 for the tickets)...
i'll stick with aaa.

I think they are so full because of the Pop Warner football league that they did not want to discount this time frame!! It is a football league not a cheerleading thing! So 7 to 15 yo old boys football teams!!

I called around 7:30 central time. Was on hold maybe 3 min. I was done in about 10 min. My original reservation was for 6 nights at CSR for 2 adults, 1 child, 7 day hopper tickets w/ dining. It was originally $2050. My new rate using code YQE is $1781. I saved about $270. I am thrilled, because when I booked I never expected any kind of discount. I know people w/ AAA discounts are disappointed, but for those of us who did not expect any kind of discount it is very good!

I can't keep up with these posts, but not getting any or not much of a discount with AAA? I know someone here got a good savings over their AAA savings?

I just called and got thru to Disney - Can't do discount for me. Have to have my AAA TA call!!! And she's not suppose to be in til 10AM!!!

That is one of the MAJOR downfalls of booking with AAA agencies. My online agent lowered me before 7:15 am. Sometimes the initial price is not the best value in the long run.

Yippee....discount for me!!!! We had to change from ASMo to ASSp since ASMo nor POP were available. My total discount on my package for 6 nights (2rooms) was $402.17. Since my package was paid for I have $$$$ being refunded.

Actually it is an athletic 'scholar' organization composed of both football players and cheerleaders. But it's not like they take up every one of the Disney resorts. I'm still curious why they blacked out the week. Not that it really matters, as I have a BRP for AKL during that time, but I'm still curious if it is an indication of expected crowd levels.

Okay...I knew it was something like that, but I thought I read it was cheerleaders. I can deal with that, it won't effect me since we're staying at OKW. Thanks.

I waited a half hour on the phone, and no discount.

We're booked room only AAA at WL 11/9-11/15. No rooms available during those dates at any deluxe. She would not/could not apply any codes to the existing reservation. Congrats to those of you that got a CM that applied the codes to your old ressies. I'll try to call again later

I am waiting to hear from my TA, but not holding my breath, we are going 11/10-14 at a deluxe and right now it seems that there are no discounts there. I am paying rack rate and anything would have been great. oh well, we will have a great time anyway....

I have been waiting for my AAA Ta to call me back! When she finally did she had a disney person on the phone and neither of them knew about the new discount! I had to give them the codes
But I have a AAA 12/18-12/27 w/dining and 2 day base tix(we already have 6 days leftover) for 1750. (I can't remeber the exact amount but it was about 1750. ) I had a dining pkg for 12/18 -12/26 before -aaa- and it was 1508 1 day base ticket. We extended our day to the 12/27 and the new package and it was 1522 (with the 1 day ticket).

When I tried to call disney myself it says to try calling back between 1 & 8! I hope this doesn't mean it will be extra !! I am used to going spring break and busy times anyway.

I called at a quarter after 9 and was completely done in 29 minutes. I had her check some different things so it took a little longer. I was making a new reservation (I didn't already have one). My dates are 12/4-8/05. Three nights are some blackout dates, but she said that I got the discount for the whole stay. I first asked for POP Century, 4 nights, with 10 day no exp tickets for 2 adults. $1006.94 without discount (I hadn't mentioned the code yet). Then asked for POP, 4 nights, 10 day with everything (PH, Plus, no exp) - $1153.96 (still before discount). Same thing with YQC - $1019.18 so savings of $134.78. I then asked if she could check CSR, 4 nights, 10 day everything - $1222.64 and same with YQE was $1502.36. I decided on the $1222.64 one. That gets us into a Moderate for not much more than POP. I'll be telling my dh that we are getting the mod for only $68.68 more than we would've paid for value without a discount. He'll like the sound of that better than we're paying $203.46 more for mod than value with discount!

I also asked if she could give me a breakdown of the costs between room and tickets and she said she didn't have any breakdown because it's a package deal/discount. Oh well....

I'm spending more money than I would've without the discount, because we probably would've been at value and may have only bought a 4 day base ticket instead of 10 with everything. But, I'm getting what I really really wanted to get and I have a way to justify it to dh! She also stated that getting the 10 day was extra good because I'm getting it with a discount now.

I have a reservation at POR and called to have the code applied. I was told by the CM that code only applied to Pop hotels. No moderates! That was after being on hold for 43 minutes.

I am calling back to make a brand new reservation. See what happens.

It could have been the CM because I called and modified my ressie for POFQ this morning and saved $360.00. Definitely call back.

Package with YQE code - 1092.34 (save 167.04 over WDW and 81.04 over AAA)
