Anybody Looked At Mousesavers This Morning

WooHoo! I called CRO at 11:00 am today (9/29) and after being on hold for 20 minutes, was able to have the CM apply the code for the MYM plan plus dining to our existing ressie!!! We are going from 12/14 thru 12/21, and now are saving an additional $235.00 off of our original package deal. There was no extra fee for this change and the CM was able to add it with no problems even though I booked our vacation several months ago. I cannot thank Mousesavers and the DIS boards enough for the info on this code.

wow, am I glad I book through a TA that makes these changes for you when the discounts come out - woke up this am and the email was waiting for me: saved about $320 more for POR 11/29 - 12/6 - not as much as free dining, but we'll have to take it! :wizard:

Question: For those of you checking your ressies online-- how do you do that? I have a AAA ressie, but the 8 digit conf # i have doesn't come up with anything. I know they have the ressie because i've made ADRs with it. Anyone able to see their AAA pkg ressie online?

Has anyone gotten the codes to work past 12/25? We have package thru AAA with dining, and we check in 12/21 and check out 12/27. No AAA discount available when we booked in the summer because those dates are considered holiday, instead of regular/value season. But wanted the AAA perks, so I went ahead and booked. I really don't want to have to make 2 ressies to get the discount. I haven't had a chance to call my TA to even discuss the possiblility of the codes working for us.

The offer states that all travel MUST be completed by 12/25. I think think the beginning of Dec "blackout dates" are possible depending on when you begin your trip, but the offer will not be available at all, to anyone, after 12/25.

Anyone know WHY 12/4-12/10 is blocked out with this new package? I'm going 12/3-12/10..and now I'm wondering if it's going to be really crowded for some reason? I know the cheerleader thing is going on, and I can deal with that..but is there something else I don't know?? :confused3

It is Pop Warner there, which is football AND cheerleaders. ALSO, isn't this during the same timeframe as the "Mousefest". I know ALOT of people are expected for that.

These both may be reasons why..??

Well, I just tried to book a new room reservation while I wait for Barbara from Small World to call me back and had no luck, as WL and POFQ were full for December 2-8. Oh well! We still have a good deal with our AAA discount for POFQ at 119 a night! I am still kind of sad though.

Good luck to everyone!

BRP is working out better for our Nov/Dec trip, than the new package, so we're keeping our BRP. Here's the comparison:

1 Adult + 1 Child - 8 nights - 8 day park hoppers

BRP
POR 8 nights plus park hoppers = 1269

New Package
POR 8 nights plus park hoppers = 1277

Details: For my BRP total cost, I used the price of regular park hoppers to figure the cost. Two BRP ressies are booked for one trip due to the season crossover from regular to value during our stay. We would lose two one night stay deposits, I believe, for cancelling and switching to the new package anyway, even if there was something great like free dining.

Also, when I checked resort availability on the new package, not much available at all. It was no better than the slim pickins on the BRP site, so it actually made me happier that this new package would still prevent me from switching to WL or AKL at a great price...lol. So unless I'm missing some great advantage to the new package over my BRP, we're happy!

Now, I suppose I can order DGS' child 8 day theme park ticket hopper, since I was waiting for the package details to come out before doing so.

I'm glad so many are able to take advantage of this new package. :)

I checked a few sources now and there are no rooms available for dates at CR I wanted (I already have reserv. thru AAA).

I wonder if there were any discounts available at CR for my dates to start off with because...
Tuesday I checked online and there were still room(s) available at CR for my dates.
Checked again yesterday (Wednesday) and the CR was full for those dates.
So I wonder if there were any discounts allotted in the first place for that time since it was fully booked?

Any thoughts/knowledge out there by TA's or Dis'ers?

Can someone please post the toll-free number for CRO. I know I've seen it listed before and tried to do a search...but couldn't find the info. Thanks!

We were booked through AAA for Dec. 4-10 at CSR, 2 adults, 2 children with 2 day base tickets and dining. The total was $1715. I didn't want to wait for CAA (Canadian version of AAA) to open up and lose my chance at CSR, so I booked it myself and the total was $1625. It's only a $90 savings ($270 off original pkg. of $1895) but hey, that's a lot of mickey bars!!

My only concern is that I was told by a CM that if I cancelled my CAA reservation that I would lose all my dining reservations :confused3 and that I would have to call dining and give them my new confirmation #. When I called dining they said they didn't understand why they told me that. I had a really great CM named Cornelia Rose who was sooooooo nice and helpful and she got a supervisor on the line to add my new number to my dining reservations. So my faith is in her and I really, really hope that it gets done and my dining reservations are not cancelled.

Did anyone else have a similar experience?

Thank you Buzzfan!!! Now everybody cross for fingers for me as I might have a really nice surprise for my kids when they get home from school today. :goodvibes

I would like to know this also as I have the same problem. When I put in my 8 digit # I get a message to recheck my # to make sure I put it in correctly or to check my phone #...

The number AAA gave you is an AAA reservation number, not a WDW reservation number. I wonder if you can get your WDW reservation number from your agent?

Hmmm... what does the WDW res # look like (#s and letters, how many #s)?

Do you think if I called in to add ADRs the would be able to give me the number, since they can look up my res by phone #?

When is it this year?????

NJ Teachers Convention is Nov 10 & 11, and we all do variations around those dates. Some schools are closed all week, our school is closed starting Tuesday, but we're going Wed to Tues 11/9 to 11/15 since the airfare was cheaper those days. Add that to Super Soap Weekend, the end of the Food and Wine Festival and that's why there's no availability at any deluxes for my dates. At least I have AAA room only discount.

could not use the room only discount for the rooms I already have at rack rate of 149 at por. I needed the 11-13 of november, dont understand why they couldn to apply the rate to ex. reservation. bummer.

That is because disney re-checks the availability and cannot apply it to a room already booked

Just got back from my AAA TA's office. We had 3 nights at the POFQ with 2 day base tickets and dining booked under the AAA discount for $1152. My TA was able to use a discount code (she gave them the YQE code, but they told her that for AAA packages to use code ***) and upgraded us to the WL for $115 more! :cool1: We've stayed there before and wanted to book it again for this trip, but I couldn't justify the addidional $300 to stay there. I told myself before I left home this morning that if I could upgrade for under $150 then do it. Disney also waived the $50 change fee for me since I was upgrading and not just asking for a refund for the price difference. :sunny: My family is going to be so surprised. We're going on DCL Nov 5-12 and I booked Nov 2-5 as a surprise for them. They think that we're flying in a few days early to bum around Port Canaveral before the cruise. I don't plan on telling them that we're going to WDW until we are in the terminal and heading for the luggage claim area. Now I've just got to contain my excitement about the upgrade-I still have 3 1/2 hours to jump around the house until my kids get home!
