Anybody Looked At Mousesavers This Morning

I disagree with those of you that think it definitely will not be dining! The free dining plan was a HUGE success and I have it from a pretty reliable source as well that dining is definitley the FRONT runner! They have been talking about it for awhile now and that seemed to bring alot of people in during an otherwise slow period! So why not try it again!!

Hoping really hard!!

Because the time of year they are offering it for is not really a slow time anymore except for a week here or there. Check availability for the second week in November the last week of November and the first 10 days of December and a lot of the resorts are already sold out

Tuesday? I've noticed that alot of rates are released on Thursdays. Mabey Disney just likes days that start with "T"?

OK so the reliable source says it's not Free Dining and not 7/4 so my guess is book at value price, get a moderate. Book at moderate price, get a deluxe. Doesn't do me any good as I've already got unrefundable BR room only deposits. I don't think we can convert a BR room only to a package. :headache:

Shannon, are you laughing at me?:)

Oh, I like that book at mod pay deluxe, oops mean stay... That'd be nice, but Poly is already booked for our dates. And have they ever done that before? And why would anyway stay at the values then?

Yeah but there are 8640 value rooms as opposed to 7135 moderate rooms. Of course, I realize that with offers like this there are only a limited number of rooms available...BUT what measure would you take to unload the value rooms? Value resorts at campground prices? Eh...I like the sound of that....$35 a nite! :rotfl2:

Yeah Nanu...that made me giggle! That would be just like Disney to leak "there's a discount coming!...man your computers and your credit cards and put the CRO on speed dial" then we get all hyped up and excited.....only to be offered $50 off. LOL :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ooh Ooh, I found this on another disney site. It was posted by my mom's travel agent.

I heard a while ago this was coming, but I wasn't given any firm dates or what the discount would be. I was told it would most likely be the free dining, but you never know until the actual discounts are released. I will post as soon as I have something specific.

How long ago was it posted? Mabey it was mentioned in relation to the extended free dining is why I'm wondering about timing. (still crossing my fingers and holding my breath..............*gasp* ok mabey I'll quit holding my breath.)

Hey guys -
Just found this posted by someone else on the Codes and Rates board in Resorts. Please forgive me if I'm breaking some kind of rule here :confused3 but this is what it said:

I think I know!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just got off the phone with a really nice CM at DD and I mentioned the excitment about the new possible discount coming out. She checked her email and she had one with a new offer coming. It is going to be $440 per adult for a 4 night stay in a standard Value room and this price would include a 5 day base ticket. Sounds like a great deal for someone.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
This was quoted from someone else. Does $440 per adult really sound like a good deal to you ??? I think I did better than that by renting points for a DVC room.

I wonder if that $440 includes tax? I just priced 4 nights in All Stars w/ 5 day base ticket at regular prices and it was $555 with tax included so that is $115 off so an average of $28.75 off per night.

Would like to know whent this was posted and on what site, if you would PM me, it would be most appreciated, just want to see it for myself so I can start dreaming

Doesn't sound very good to me. $440 X 2 = $880 ('Special discount package')

4 nights in a value resort, standard during value season (4 X 77) = $308

5 day base ticket = $205 X 2(people) = $410

Total = $718

Package 'discount' would be $170 more than regular price. There must be something else.

Is that 77/night for a moderate? Because the poster with that info said it was for a value room.... maybe that would make the difference? :confused3

I meant value in my post. My mistake. I've gone back and edited it.

Not a good deal unless we are missing something.

:cool1:

WDW deal 2 adults @ $440 each for 4 nights at values and 5 day park passes total of $880.

This is not a good deal as presented. This may be a ploy WDW will use in the Sunday newspapers to make people think they are getting a bargin.

I picked random dates Nov. 14 to Nov. 18 at the All-Star Movies. The total room rate would be $447.52 for 4 nights. The hopper passes for two people would be $442 ($221 per person) or non-hopper is $386 ($193 per person).

The total stay with the hopper is $889.52 and non-hopper total is $833.52.

Check my figures, I may be wrong.

Book a value and stay moderate is my hope - I'm biased by wishful thinking, because I'm staying POP and would LOVE to stay POFQ! *fiiiiiiingers crossed* :worship:

I wonder if when the childs rate for that package is totaled in, if you will wind up paying more for the "deal".

B/c when you book a room for two adults and two children, you pay a single rate per nite, whereas when you book a package deal that is arranged like that, you actually pay a fee per person for total number of nights....

Then again...I may be wrong.

November is no longer value season, the deal is most likely for a value resort in value season - regular season will be higher.

now wait a minute....would the package include dining? I could work with that.
