Anybody Looked At Mousesavers This Morning

We don't check in until Dec 31 so unfortunately this offer won't effect us at all, but from reading this thread I think it is going to be something BIG and something that has never been offered before (note: Mary used the word special and Sue Ellen noted it would not be free dining or a couple of the other discount packages that were offered in the past). It makes me think it will be something that Disney guests have never seen before and something HUGE.

Good luck to those who have check-in dates late Oct - Dec 25.

PLEASE PLEASE post on this thread when anyone finds out what it is. I am curious since I assumed there would be no discounts for this time period.

The only thing that concerns me is my ADR's, which are all set, including Cindy's.
I am booked room-only with a AAA discount at ASMo, Dec. 18-26, with what I consider a pretty good rate, 68.00 including tax. If a package comes along that is "dare to be great", would I lose all my ADR's if I had to rebook as a package?

Oh, fudge...I'll be at my MIL....I'll have to pry her away from the online bingo so I can satisfy my curiosity.

No - ADR's don't get cancelled when a ressie cancels - 2 different systems - offsite guests can make ADR's too...

Lori,

Hope we can get a deal on SugarLoaf (or maybe even RPC)? I wonder though, cause GF is so booked up if there will be a package deal for the GF concierge. I have the AAA rate with the dining now, and I will not give up concierge at the GF.

Thoughts?

November is no longer value season, the deal is most likely for a value resort in value season - regular season will be higher.

Ok, I'll pick value season rates. Dec. 14-18. The room at The All-Movie is now $402.32 instead of $447.52. This 4 night and 5 day package would be $844.21 with the hopper and $788.21 without. This is even a worse "deal". This is all speculation and I guess we will have to wait until the real offer shows-up. WDW may put out a big advertising campaign on a deal that isn't such a good deal.

Denise, I agree that there probably won't be anything for us in the way of concierge. It's already full, so why offer a discount. I'm not willing to give it up. With 3 children, the lounge is worth it to me. I'm really starting to get excited!

I predict we'll see an ad in the Sunday paper tomorrow! The suspense is killing me!

I'm just happy I got the AAA rate with the dining! Although, free dining would be awesome. I agree completely, I am not about to give up concierge over a discount. I'm so ready for this trip!

Well my mom read her paper today, and said there's an ad saying its value season. So you get value rates instead of regular rates.

Just to confirm what others have said...this is definitely NOT the offer that was alluded to on Mousesavers. ;)

Our "early edition" Sunday paper here in Atlanta will be at the supermarkets in the next couple of hours. So we'll see....... :wizard:

I didn't realize the early edition of AJC went out so early. I thought it was later Saturday evening and I was going to get my DH to bring one home from work. We are in LaGrange though so just a county outside of the expanded Metro area! I wonder if they have the same ads or different ones from the early edition to the regular one?

Historically does Disney ever announce a special on the weekend? What about the middle of the day? Also, do they announce it the day it goes into effect, or before that?

My mom is a TA for AAA and she said that she is not aware of any specials yet. However, her office has a Disney meeting September 27. I am guessing that they will announce the "deal" Monday or Tuesday.

OK, I'll take a guess. I think that maybe they will upgrade your Make Your Way Package. Is the Platinum a new package for this season? Maybe it was here before and I just never noticed it, but if you go on the Disneyworld webpage, it lists it as an option for 2006 packages and not 2005. I'm guessing that if you pay for a Basic MYW package, you'll get a free upgrade to MYW plus Dining. Or, if you pay for a Premium MYW package, you'll get the Platinum MYW Package.

Well, that's my guess...lol.

I guess we will just have to sit back and wait.

Mary

The Sunday travel section of the NY Times (we get it with Sat paper) only has the $1500 package that's been advertised for some time.

I already book a discounted package with AAA. I'd be surprised if the new package is any better than what I already booked.

How does the premium plan work? It says three meals (breakfast lunch and dinner) at table and counter service restuarants. So is there a limit? Could you eat at three ts a day/every day? Mabey that's the new offer...pay for myw plus dining get a free "premium" upgrade....which also includes tickets to cirque de soliel (sp?). HMMMMM.......

I've always found the ads to be the same - in other words, if I didn't see it in the early edition, it wasn't in the Sunday *Sunday* paper either :rotfl2:

The only difference I've ever noticed is the headlines and the sports results are both updated. Otherwise, essentially the same paper. I usually pick it up by noon on Saturday!!

I too was hoping for free dining but now it seems like the chances of that are nil. So....what could it be? Free tickets? Half priced rooms?

I'm hoping/waiting/betting on 'free everything' - you just have to pay for your gas or airfare :rotfl2:

Actually Cbear...thats a Scary thought! Have you ever been to a local entertainment venue on a "free day"? (For example..our local zoo has a free admission day once in a blue moon)....its a mad house!!! Can you imagine the mob that will follow??? I want a good deal..not a "too good to be true so everyone shows up deal" lol....am I asking too much? Oh well...thats what fairy godmothers are for, right?
