Anybody else surprised by the lack of Christmas themed snowglobes?

I am not a collector of "stuff", I have a hard enough time keeping the clutter out of my house as it is. :rotfl:
The closest I have come is my collection of Disney Christmas stuff especially snowglobes. 12 or so years ago you used to be able to find a decent selection in the Disney stores but I have never seen any in the parks, anybody else surprised by this? I would think they'd be pretty popular? And we even go at Christmas time. I've been to both Disneyland and Disney World during the holidays...I would spend ALOT if I could find some...

That could be an explanation...maybe they want to keep the number they produce down so they make ones that are general "year round" snowglobes, as it could be an issue transporting them back. I've never even thought of that. I wouldn't be too happy to get to the airport and not be able to take it on the plane with me. :sad1:That's a good point, thanks for bringing that up! But they still sell snow globes, just not Christmas ones. :santa:

I find the selection of most things have declined. I used to love buying Disney stationary, especially magnetic writing pads for the fridge, when we were there in 2009, I was only able to find one. ONE!! I was rather disappointed. My DH says its because most people have stainless fridges now, and only the side is magnetic :confused3, but there was still a ton of magnets to choose from.

They used to have a ton of snowglobes to choose from, really nice ones, but once they couldn't be taken on planes anymore, they haven't really released a lot of new designs, and they don't stock too many.

What I do is keep an eye on the Disney Store online especially because they put them on sale a lot and you can get them for great prices sometimes.

They will closer to Christmas time. Just keep checking it out, particularly around October/November time frame. :goodvibes
