Any word of Toy Story Character meal?

I'm wondering if any of you have caught wind of any rumors of Toy Story characters making an appearance at a character meal? I'm hoping with Toy Story Mania making its debut, maybe WDW is considering a new character dining experience? Anyone heard anything?

OOH, I hope that rumor is true!! I LOVE Toy Story, and well, any Pixar movie, for that matter. That would be great to have a Pixar character meal in Hollywood Studios! I hope someone can confirm this rumor. If not, I hope Disney is listening and makes it happen!

I'll just bet they'll consider something. I mean...if Toy Story wasn't wildly popular, would they have added such a huge new attraction??? Let's all make a wish that our little space rangers will have somewhere special to dine next year!!!

Sounds like wishful thinking.

People like to post, "Wouldn't it be great if...." comments, and those comments turn into rumors. If a Toy Story character meal is going to debut, you can be sure it will be listed on the DIS "headlines" you see in the forum index page.

There were rumours of this a couple of years ago, possibly going into Hollywood & Vine at DHS. Although the restaurant did get new character meals, the rumours were wayyy off - instead of Toy Story, it is Playhouse Disney Pals.

3) They even did the casting.
4) Then they changed their minds.

That stinks! As a mom of 2 boys I have hoped for a character meal geared for boys for a long time! Wonder why they think it would have limited draw? There are lots of princess meals out there, one thing geared for boys would be a big hit, I think so anyway!! Toy Story, Star Wars, Pirates, etc.

I'm the mother of two boys and I'm very disappointed in the number of events that are geared primarily to girls. I think a Toy Story character meal would appeal to both boys and girls and would be a great hit. Jessie is a prominent female character, but I guess you wouldn't sell a lot of expensive princess dresses if you focus on Jessie! My two boys (even the ten year old) would want to go to a Toy Story meal and so would I

I agree there needs to be a couple of boy character meals. Whether it be Toy Story (one of my favs), Star Wars, or Pirates. My dd is not all into princess and we don't do those meals. Ds would love to have one that has boy things.

We are huge Toy Story fans! We have 2 cats named Woody & Bizz. Our six year old son is trying to talk us into another or possibly a dog so he can name it Bullseye!

It would be nice to have a meal geared towards little boys. My son would LOVE it. I think the PP who mentioned the expensive dresses and accessories for Princesses hit the nail on the head though.

I agree, as a mother to a little boy. It is very dishearting to see the princess meals and nothing geared towards boys. My son would love a character meal with the Toy Story characters or Pirates. We would definitely book an ADR for something like that.
