Any traditions you have at WDW?

We always go in Oct.
Always go to MNSSHP (love this!) :thumbsup2
Buy a Christmas ornament for everyone :santa:

This is the first year we are taking the kids so we may end up with more traditions this time around.

When entering World Showcase, we've (group of friends) ALWAYS have to start out going left around the lagoon, toward Mexico. It sort of just happens naturally, somehow. We never talk about it...it just...happens. Then one time we noticed the trend and now make sure we do it every time. It would almost be blasphemy to start off in the other direction! ;)

A frozen margarita from mexico is always a must.

Spaceship Earth is always a must.

Maelstrom is always a must.

Haunted Mansion is a must.

We don't always eat dinner at Epcot, but when we do its usually at Biergarten. When we wanna be cheap, we hit Earl of Sandwich at DTD.

Also, another silly one: after exiting the monorail (either at Epcot or MK, doesn't matter), we always race to see who gets down to ground level FIRST. And this is an unspoken challenge. We always just...do it. We don't run (except when there's literally NOBODY else around), but we walk as fast as we can weaving by other guests (without running into anyone, of course). :)

The winner has bragging rights....... silly? Yes, we know. But it's a tradition!

Chef Mickey's on our first night! California Grill on our last night!

Funny that you say that you race to the bottom of the ramp at the monorail. We do that too! Again, just an unspoken thing. Wife gets mad when I cheat! :cool1:

We have a tradition of stopping at the Barber Shop on Main St for haircuts. I will always be that late thirties man going through the parks with the pixie dust in his hair and the gel mickey on the back of his head  . My kids thought it was cool the first year and since then it has become a tradition. At least a couple of the kids will also get theirs done as well.

Splash Mountain is our first ride every trip. That's when we feel like were at Di :rotfl: sney!

Since we drive from Cape Cod, we always stay overnight in Wilson, NC at the Hampton Inn. Then we're up before sunrise, feasting on their complimentary breakfast (We're usually the only ones in their eating area!) and are back on the road by 6:30 am for the 2nd day of travel. We always find a way to watch some park's fireworks every night. We always eat lunch at Columbia Harbor House when we're in MK...early lunch, 2nd floor! Fish and chips, baby!! We're always at rope drop...DH and DSs complain a bit, but they've come around recently to my way of thinking (no lines, no waiting!!) We always have a fabulous time!! And on the return trip, we always stay at the Comfort Inn in Fredericksburg, VA and have dinner at the Cracker Barrel, which is right next to the inn. My boys request that restaurant every time!

Almost forgot: We always announce when we've driven across a new state line...but we clap and cheer when we cross the FLORIDA state line!! (The trip home is a bit more somber, though. I wonder why???)

We always watch Illuminations with DH and DS having funnel cake. Sometimes even more than once ;)

Always try one scarey ride...because myself and other DS are chickens!

This is our first trip with our children, but I read a great tip/tradition in my Passporter that I want to try. The tipper said that they set their children down with the castle (or another large backdrop) in the background, and interview them about the trip with their camcorder. They do this on the last day, after the fireworks, while they wait for the park to clear out.

I loved it, and plan to do the same! It is a great way to end any vacation.

I am slow getting traditions each trip.

First thing once I am in the room is take a deep breath and just soak in the Magic...

I also try to use my arrival day as a get aquainted with my 'home'. Even if I have been to it several times, I like to take a stroll, poss go hit the pool, sit in a lounge, again, just soaking in the 'vibes' :goodvibes

Don't have a traditional first dinner place, seems like I just hit the food court (ASMo and POP).

Since my next trip is a camping trip to FW, will be similar.

Will set up camp, check out the area with my bike, check the pool, possibly going in, just relaxing after a near 1000mile drive.

Next day..MK first thing in the morning..and Jungle Cruise!!! lol

Another tradition. I do MK first morning, and AK my next morning, with lunch at Tusker, after I ride the safari first thing.

Epcot..what else, Spaceship Earth first!, then Test Track 3 times :teeth: :teeth: single rider rocks!

Eating the Fish and Chips at the UK, Churros at MK, Hamburger at Pecos Bill, Chicken/fish combo at Columbia House. Flame Tree is my newest must do.

Wow, all these traditions sound wonderful! We've never had any traditions; even after over 20 trips, there's so much new to do. We were pretty proud of doing new things all the time, but y'all are making me feel like we're missing something by not having any traditions. Lots of great ideas here so we'll have to start to do something regularly.

I have to try to catch the leaping water in the fountain at Epcot. My dad said that I did this on our first visit when I was three. He convinced me to do this again on our last trip. I felt rediculous at first, but then I had a blast. I'll be doing it again this year. I bet my BF will hide when I do.

I can't watch Spectromagic without a Dole Whip! Also after this last trip I will never let a trip go by without lunch at Garden Grill!

First day tradition: we always stop at the Welcome Center on I-75 at the Florida line

If you are talking about the Disney Welcome Center in Ocala, I hate to say it, but it is no longer there. It was a sad day when the welcome center closed :sad2:
