DVC-Leroy gave a good tip about preparing for the walking. When you stay at the BCV, be prepared for a lot of walking. It is a long way to the main pool, and we tend to prefer walking to EPCOT, instead of taking the boat.
One tip I have is to remember to take your room key with you to Stormalong Bay, as they check your key and then give you wrist bands. No key, no wrist bands! They were very strict about this when we were there in 1/04. A CM stopped and asked the family lounging in the chairs next to ours where their bands were. Well, they were just about to leave and had taken them off. The CM asked to see their room key. BTW, they did accept one key for our family of 3.
The BC, and the BCV are so beautiful, and there are many nice public areas. Another tip is to make sure that you build in some time to explore and enjoy all that this resort has to offer.
If you want to pack less (with two little ones that can be hard to do), know that there are free washers and dryers if you are staying in a studio (The 1 & 2 bedrooms have laundry facilities right in the unit) available. You do need to provide your own soap, downy, etc.
Finally, Beaches and Cream is such a fun spot to eat, and I would encourage you to give it a try at least once during your trip. If you are like my family, once will not be enough and you will head back again. It is a fun place for kids and the burgers and ice cream treats rock!
I hope you and your family have a magical trip to WDW!
