We will be staying at the BCV at the end of May-beginning of June. Any tips or info that you would like to share to make our vacation that much magical.

Try the DVC board - there's lots of info about the BCV! BCV will be my second DVC home soon. VWL is our "home" now, but we're going to add on at BCV.

We requested a room with an Epcot view. The view was fabulous, we saw Illuminations every night! The only downside was that we ended up as far from the elevator as possible. Next time we are requesting a room near the elevators. We prefer this b/c we have young children.

Here's my latest time (having just returned from our latest trip 2/4-2/10/04...

When taking the bus back from MK or DTD - we hopped off the bus at the first stop (the Swan) and walked back to our room - faster than the bus could get to our stop - as the bus goes to the Swan, Dolphin and YC before Beach Club. We also made sure to use the short cuts - go by the pool and along the canal to get to the bus stop - and around the Beach Club (blue bldgs) to walk over to EPCOT. We often took the monorail back from MK and walked through EPCOT to our room. It took us between 15 and 20 minutes to walk (normal pace) to MGM - and we beat the boat every time. And I walk a mile every day preparing for each trip which at this point is twice a year (1st wk of Feb and Last week of Sept)

DVC-Leroy gave a good tip about preparing for the walking. When you stay at the BCV, be prepared for a lot of walking. It is a long way to the main pool, and we tend to prefer walking to EPCOT, instead of taking the boat.

One tip I have is to remember to take your room key with you to Stormalong Bay, as they check your key and then give you wrist bands. No key, no wrist bands! They were very strict about this when we were there in 1/04. A CM stopped and asked the family lounging in the chairs next to ours where their bands were. Well, they were just about to leave and had taken them off. The CM asked to see their room key. BTW, they did accept one key for our family of 3.

The BC, and the BCV are so beautiful, and there are many nice public areas. Another tip is to make sure that you build in some time to explore and enjoy all that this resort has to offer.

If you want to pack less (with two little ones that can be hard to do), know that there are free washers and dryers if you are staying in a studio (The 1 & 2 bedrooms have laundry facilities right in the unit) available. You do need to provide your own soap, downy, etc.

Finally, Beaches and Cream is such a fun spot to eat, and I would encourage you to give it a try at least once during your trip. If you are like my family, once will not be enough and you will head back again. It is a fun place for kids and the burgers and ice cream treats rock!

I hope you and your family have a magical trip to WDW!

I didn't think it was a long walk at all to Stormalong Bay. Also, if you're looking for an adult breakfast or one that isn't buffet character breakfast walk over to the Yacht Club Galley. YOu can either order off the menu or they have a small buffet there too.

were you in a studio? and if so, do you happen to recall your room number? the illuminations view sounds really cool.

We were in a dedicated two bedroom. I do not know the layout, but I am sure someone on the DVC board will have more info as to which rooms overlook Epcot.
