Any Single Disney Men Out There?

Gina: You bet, the more "Crazy Old Disney Guys" the better.

I am getting all weepy here with these great love stories, maybe one day I will have a story of my own. I still hold out hope that one day I will find my Disney Prince.

tm, same to you....how lucky you are!

thank goodness for the internet...i'd have never found mine without it.

Rer....you said exactly what I was trying to say in my earlier post. You are absolutely right, nobody is perfect....but maybe we can find the perfect person for us.

There is such a thing as too much in common, where is the mystery in that.

I also believe in not settling, but if you put too many restrictions on who you are looking you may be limiting your chances of finding anyone. Nobody is perfect. I have created a fairly general list (not written just in my head :) ) of things that I value and desire in another person. I don't expect to find someone with all of those values, but if they meet the major ones then I'm willing to take a chance.

I'm still very much looking for my disney prince. Slap I think it's SO SWEET you're moving to be with TMLI.. if I met someone on these boards I'd pray they were relocatable too... I have a STRONG bond with my family and since my dad passed I never want to be TOO far for my mom in case she needs me. That's enough to scare any man away, right?

I also need a man who loves animals as animal rescue/fostering is a HUGE part of my life.

Cinrell,

I was very honest with SW from the beginning that I was unable to move. I have a ds who's dad lives here and I could not move and do that to either of them. Of course moving without him is not even a remote possibility. There would have been no point in pursuing a LDR if neither of us was able to eventually move.

katydid, Well put. I started thinking about this. I have two best friends that have been in my life, well lets just say forever. Both of them are very different than I. One is a the eccentric type and the other is the "Wild one". I am the quiet and fairly reserved type. We all have the same values and love and respect one another. We compliment each other. I am looking for the same thing in a prince. I don't want him to be exactly like me. No fun or excitement in that. But we do have to have the same core values and the same vision for our lives. I know there is a perfect prince for me somewhere. We just haven't found each other yet.

Being Disneyfied is a great place to start...it shows that you can still PLAY...but SO MUCH more is necessary.

Here's the wonderful man I met RIGHT HERE ON THIS THREAD at Disney on Sunday!

Dreams CAN come true!!!!

That's the other major issue I face, like simply finding "the one" isn't hard enough by itself. I am anchored to where I am -- I moved here because the school district is so amazing, and because it is where I really wanted to be. It's a fantastic place to raise a child. Plus, I don't know where I would even be at this point without my family -- they are my support system, and I love them so much.

So therein lies the rub... I can't move, but at the same time I'm not sure I could ask someone to uproot *their* life and come here. That's a lot of pressure on a relationship. But meeting someone locally hasn't worked... Good grief, how do people ever meet up?? :confused3

What a great picture, and a great looking couple!! I'm so happy for you, Mel... I sure tried to get to chat so I could hear all about it, but my assignments took too long. I think my brain is too old and tired now for all this schoolwork. LOL

I can't wait to hear more and see more pictures of you guys. :)

Gina I felt the same way as you about asking someone to "uproot" their life just for me. It is something we discussed and SW set my mind at ease. I don't think if both people are coming from the same place it will be a lot of pressure on a relationship.

tmli, what better reason to change your life than finding love???

I agree with you 100% beansmom - when you find the right one, you're life is going to change big time anyway. I don't see it as "uprooting" anyone's life, I see it as taking the next step in your lives. :cloud9:

Gina,

Maybe we should start a "Crazy old Disney Lady" club. Sort of like the "Red Hat Ladies" but we will wear mouse ears. :rotfl: I turned 39 last month and I also will never settle again.

Hey add me to that. I'll be 39 this October and the bf I'm dating now is taking things so slow it looks like I'll be in my grave before he proposes! :badpc: ( I couldn't find a smiley that showed one hitting the other over the head so just imagine the computer is my bf) lol

Mel and Al!

Congrats. I wish everyone the best when it comes to the pursuit for their Disneymate. As I have said.....I'm not looking for a princess...just a wench that I can enjoy the trip through life with ;) Princesses are too high maintenence!

Best to ALL!

Yet another 40+ (but getting better with age, like fine wine and cheese...trust me!) searching for true love here and elsewhere. Yes, it would be great to find someone who shares my passion for Disney. But the first, and possibly only non-negotiable thing on my list is that he have a passion for *me.*

I hope to find someone I can learn from and with, laugh with--a lot, and explore all those wonderful romantic Disney suggestions we've read here...but bottom line, he must want to be with me as strongly (OK, I know it will vary along the way but I mean in the aggregate) as I want to be with him.

Anything less than *that* is what I would call "settling." And that's not an option. I deserve...*all* of us deserve...no less.

well I lost the love of my life not to death but to an accident that took him from me anyway...now I'm not actively searching for a prince but if one happened to sweep me off my feet I'd be very happy. Life is too short to spend it waiting for someone to find me or vice versa...it could end tomorrow...we aren't promised anything...so with that said...this girl just wants to have fun..and I am!!! ^6 more days til my first of 2 trips HOME this year!!!!!!!!! Good luck to all the new love birds..OH and with my job and kids GROWN I could easily go wher :cool1: :thumbsup2 pirate: e ever the wind blows...and do...kind of nice to be a travlin DISchick lol...princess: :moped: :rolleyes1 :joker: :bounce:

Hi! I just got back yesterday! It was great I stayed 3 nites at the wonderful AKL and the rest of the time I stayed in a villa that I purchased in
Clermont. It was awesome. They upgraded the room from a standard $130 room to a savanah room. It was great!!! Couldn't beat the price either!!!
