Any Single Disney Men Out There?

Okay, I brought myself to look at the dismates site again. I looked last year but I don't remember the format but this format looks pretty straight forward. Now if you haven't done it, you really must go to Disney during the holiday season. I'm not suggesting the week between Xmas and New Years, much too busy, but in early December. You will enjoy Disney at that time.

I've had good luck just after Thanksgiving and into early December. I think Mousefest is during that time period too!

I am a 53M going down to the World with DS (13) for the first Star Wars Weekend. We are practicing for the trivia contest!

Going to Disney with someone who 'doesn't get it' is like bringing one who 'doesn't get it' to a Grateful Dead show! Have experienced both.

I've been reading the thread, but have been a little reluctant to post. My older DD insisted that I post, though. I am a 42 year old widow with two DD (15 and 12). I've been going to WDW too many times to count. I made terrible mistakes in my relationships earlier in life, and I have now decided that a prerequisite must be a love of Disney and UGA football (am willing to compromise on the 2nd one to a love of college football in general, though).

Edited: Our next trip is a camping trip to the Fort. We will bringing my father with us. He hasn't been to WDW since 1986! I can't wait for him to see all the new as well as all the old favorites.

Just looked....According to AllEars...Mousefest is Dec 3 thru 12....cruise 3 thru 7....land 8 thru 12. There would be LOTS of DISers then!!!!

Also....there's MVMCP.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I like a cheech a cheech a roni like they make at home, or a healthy fish with
a big back bone I'm Abraham Delacy...........eh you know the rest.

37, single New Yorker, actually the closest thing you could imagine a human version of the Thomas O'Malley character being in real life. Love of jazz and wanderlust , deep voice and everything. Reddish wheat colored hair,5'10,
a little tubby tabby in the tummy but workin on it. To decrease it that is.

Just got back recently on Feb 9th from the latest Disney single venture ,stayed at The CBR. Loved it. But ...with the Winter Weather it can feel like you are the only one there. As opposed to waking up in the morning to a beach crowded with happy people playing volleyball, boating, etc.,makes the resort feel alive!!

Love strollin through the parks lookin for that possible Dutchess, just to convey "A day at the park and Dinner on me whatdaya say?"

Did manage to converse here and there with a nice lady or two. The Belle
Vue Lounge at the Boardwalk is a VERY nice place and atmosphere to chat.

Looked for the apparent"green ribbon" Dis Board informal id, didn't see any.

A day at the park and dinner on me a little forward? Maybe. But life is too short. I'll find my dutchess one day but if I can as a gentlemen help put a spark in your heart that helps you believe yeah there are some good hearts stiil out there, so we may never cross paths again ,or might not match up as ideal soul mates in every catergory of compatibility, the point is for that particular moment in time , he we are both at WDW , Disney kids at heart I hope,(I know I am), and just take advantage of the camradarie that will already be there due to a mutual love of all thing Disney.

Lastly no greater reward exists for a man than to look into a woman's eyes and realize you've done something to make her feel better for the day, touched her heart lightly or deeply, made her feel wanted or loved to what ever degree ,friendly or otherwise. Cause when you do that you've touched the deepest part of her heart . Just to find someone who truly honestly, really appreciates her for being her and would never make her feel uncomfortable . Unfortunately often ,although not always, but often enough a woman's self esteem is an unmerciful monster that never lets up on her, does everything to crush her, makes her feel less secure about believing
in her dreams. When you can help her see beyond that and reach out,in spirit,
that becomes a date worth experiencing. For both of you.
Whether you have begun a romance for yourselves or have helped strengthen one another for their right one down the road its still worth it to me.

Well back to kickin up highway dust and struttin those city streets. Hope to get back to WDW by the summer. If not will defenitley be there the last week of Jan 2007 prob'ly stay for two to three weeks.

Sayanora for now and all those goodbye things baby.

Wow, this thread has become a complete dating thread LOL Are guys who like Disney really that hard to find???? I'm a 27 year old guy who loves disney in the Chicago area. I find that most people either are Disney people, or not. I have found girls who like Disney, but no one who really LOVES Disney. So, anyone near Chicago around my age, drop me a pm :goodvibes

yes they are! A couple of my friends and i were talking about going to disney after we graduate college and one of the guys in our class asked if we were crazy...i cannot find a guy that actually understands!

It's interesting reading the number of people that travel to WDW solo/singles. For the past 12 years, since my daughter was four I've taken her to WDW to celebrate her birthday. I always looked at that trip as the family trip. More so over the last few years, because she gets to take my nieces or a girlfriend.

Getting back to the adult trips. I would not give them up! It's great to get together with the guys in January, and chase the little white ball around. Spend some time at PI and have a different kind of fun (Magic).

It would have been nice if this thread was around at the end of December. When I was informed by my daughter was not coming down to spend New Years with me. I shifted into the spur of the moment trip. I contacted a few people to see if they were up to a very last minute trip for New Years. No one was willing to be as impulsive, as I. The first thing I did was make sure that I could purchase my tickets for the B-52's at HOB for that Friday, the 30th. And everything else fell into place, albeit more then I would have liked to spend, if I had more time to plan. But, without doubt, it was a New Year to remember... HOB, B-52's and PI on New Years eve and some new friends.

As the commercial goes....Priceless.

If anyone is traveling to the world the last week of June, give a shout.

Oh yes, there are lots of guys who understand. It's just difficult to find us sometimes. But we're out there - trust me...

Guys, girls, men, women, I have a hard time finding ANYONE in "real life" who loves Disney like I do. The only place I find fellow Disney souls is here on the DIS.

It's so weird, it is such a HUGE community here and on other Disney boards too, there are so many passionate Disney fans, but off the net, I know alot more people who love Vegas than Disney. -- I have a friend that goes to Vegas 3-4 times a year, but makes fun of me because I'm going to Disney for my 3rd time in a year in a half this May. :confused3

Just noticed your dates match up with some of ours. Can we count you as number 5? By the way, I wonder if our birthdays match?!

This is starting to sound like a Magical Gathering! :yay:

I can't believe that exactly 2 months from today I will be at WDW. Whee! :yay:

Geez, I'm starting to wish I was going in May. Seems to be a lot of singles going at that time. Have to go to British Columbia in June so WDW in May is out of the question. Maybe next time.

party: I'll be celebrating my 41st birthday on May 10th and I plan to be in the Magic Kingdom that day after a wonderful breakfast with Mary Poppins and Alice at the Grand Floridian!

When is your birthday? You are going to be at WDW at the same time?

Yes, please let me know about the get together!!!! I don't know for sure if I can make because I'm meeting up with some friends who arrive May 10th, but I'd love to work it out if possible! :Pinkbounc

This is a cool thread. If my Eharmony guy doesn't work out (yes, Eharmony works -- human beings sometimes don't!!) I'll be back!!

Not single but I stumbled across this on my way to the Universal Boards. I went to Disneyworld when I was in 8th grade and thought it was lame. Have not been back. Granted that was in the 80's and much has changed. I enjoy reading about other peoples passion for Disney. It may force me to give it another shot.

Just hard for me to want to give up Universal since we enjoy it so much.

Good luck with the gathering. It sounds like a good safe way to meet people with similar interests.

WaltD4Me,

I also am planning to go May 8-11 to celebrate my little girl's second birthday! It sound like we should definitely all try to meet if we can make it work! :teeth:

I was just laughing with my daughter about this... At this point, she's wondering if there are any DECENT single guys out there. She tried a few dating sites and spent $$$ staying on them hoping for MR. WONDERFUL. Well, she did make one good friend out of it BUT at the age of 28, you'd think it wouldn't be soooo hard. I did stumble across a disney match site somewhere a couple of years ago but looked quickly and can't find it. Maybe this site can start something...You think???
