I was just laughing with my daughter about this... At this point, she's wondering if there are any DECENT single guys out there. She tried a few dating sites and spent $$$ staying on them hoping for MR. WONDERFUL. Well, she did make one good friend out of it BUT at the age of 28, you'd think it wouldn't be soooo hard. I did stumble across a disney match site somewhere a couple of years ago but looked quickly and can't find it. Maybe this site can start something...You think???

We're kind of hoping it can :confused3 but one never knows. As it is.... :surfweb: I think we have a great start :cool1: We already have a few contributiors planning a may mini meet :grouphug: . One on ones should be easy to arrange if ressies aren't already made :rolleyes1 or one or the other are flexible. :wizard:

The dismates.com site has been reworked recently :lovestruc , but there is still very few members. That may be the site you saw before. :surfweb:

Best of luck

party: I'll be celebrating my 41st birthday on May 10th and I plan to be in the Magic Kingdom that day after a wonderful breakfast with Mary Poppins and Alice at the Grand Floridian!

When is your birthday? You are going to be at WDW at the same time?

Yes, please let me know about the get together!!!! I don't know for sure if I can make because I'm meeting up with some friends who arrive May 10th, but I'd love to work it out if possible! :Pinkbounc

 I will be 25 on May 9th :woohoo: I am thinking of doing a four park marathon to collect all the bday buttons, however, not sure if this is the best choice for the big day...if only I could extend by birthday for a whole week...oh wait it is disney..I can!!! :yay: I will be at disney May 7-16. So does anyone have any suggestions as to where a good meeting place could be? We Could start with where and then add when later. Cheers all!!

Hey we're gonna be there May 10 thru 16...I'd love to meet others especially fellow buckeyes!!!! Besides I need to find someone to ride ToT with me dd and Dm don't want to (they will be travelling with me) and it is way more fun with friends, I've not been able to ride since the castle was a hideous pink...the last time I travelled with friends before I was a mom... :cool1:

very good question :)

Isn't it amazing that in just a week, this thread has taken off like the rockin rollercoaster? :moped:

There are good people (both men and women) out here :love1: , but with every other aspect of life, it's all about chance :sail: . If mdhkitten hadn't started the thread  (and I hope you have all gone to the top of the page and rated it high!) a lot of us would still be moaning "Where is my prince (or princess)? princess: :wizard: " Well boys and girls, men and women, this is probably the best shot you will have to make a Disney connection :tink: .

The great thing about this is that there is no pressure :rolleyes1 . You don't have to be shy about asking questions :surfweb: , requesting photos, getting to know the other people and even setting up a meet. Us the private message options to communicate :ssst: . Trade pics! yahoo or msn each other :badpc: . Even with Disney as a base, not every two people are a romantic match but sharing a day at Disney? Woo Woo :cool1: ! That is GREAT :worship: ! A lifetime of friendships can happen when you share the magic :thumbsup2

>I've not been able to ride since the castle was a hideous pink...

Ooooh, I remember that pink. What *were* they thinking! I was happy that the castle alterations for the 50th were done with class and style. :cool1:

Sorry I'll miss the May gathering. Early June, anyone?

Just got back recently on Feb 9th from the latest Disney single venture ,stayed at The CBR. Loved it.

My turn to jump in...guess all of us singles (Divorced, 35 yo female) are all around and just don't know it. I was at Beach Club the same week,

Nothing lifts my spirits like a Dis trip...can't wait for my August solo trip!

How about I make a suggestion... seems the 7th or 8th is a median day that most of us will be there... Adventurer's Club on the evening of the 7th or 8th or .. Rose & Crown ? OR Both? LOL!! There.. I put a feeler out.. any takers?

Kathy

I am flexible. These dates are good for me. I will be towing a friend with me for those two days, but she is single as well, hoping she will catch the disney bug, seeing as she will be moving to Florida with me. I like also the idea of the adventurers club as I have not been here yet and would very much like to visit. Great idea :thumbsup2

I'm a 43 year old divorced Male Disney lover from the state of Washington. I just got back from my first trip with my 4 year old daughter and we had the greatest time. I didn't even get to ride the Tower of Terror this trip (no Adventurers club either) but still loved the trip. I've been 8 times since 2000 so obviously I love the place. I have to wait until October now until my next trip. I can't wait!

So glad you had a wonderful time. One of my biggest regrets is not taking my girls when they were very young. I started when they were 7 and 10. It was great, but so much is missed when you don't take them when they are young. I can still remember some of the funny times with my younger brother and the characters. Of course, we go a lot now so I'm making up for the "lost" years!

Please tell me why.

I was speaking to a friend who will be planning a Disney trip in the coming years but they want to wait until their children are old/tall enough to get a more fullfilling experience. At the time, I agreed with them. Their kids are 4 and 7 and they think they will wait about 3 years.

I remember going to WDW when I was approx 10 yrs. old and I can't remember much at all. I know I couldn't get on certain rides and, granted, MK was the only park back then.

Any opinions that you can share will be greatly appreciated. I'd love to tell them to go sooner.

Marty

The more the merrier.. and the adventurer's club is just a hoot! Very comfortable.. and lots of fun... and it is not so noisy that we can't carry on conversations..... So... that's one... Anyone else? and any preference of date?

I'm going to be celebrating my little girl's second birthday at Chef Mickey's on the morning of May 11th. If her dad doesn't end up coming for her party (which, unfortunately I can't count on him..............this would only be the second time he's ever seen her in two years by his own choice :sad2: ), would anyone else like to join us for her birthday celebration? Just figured I'd ask! We'll be there May 8-11, unless something changes! :goodvibes :cool1: :thumbsup2 :Pinkbounc  :woohoo:  :cheer2: :yay:

Looks like we have a magical gathering happening in May!!

Now....anyone for late November after Thanksgiving? Golfers?

Bill

I'll join in on this one. 41 year old single female from Southeastern PA. Been going to WDW at least once a year for about 10 years now. Just go back from my second solo trip in the middle of February. Already wondering when I can go again. My mom and I are doing the land and sea Disney Cruise in December, but I know that I'll never make it until December without any trip there.

If I hadn't been in February I'd need a fix but I think I can hold out until November. How many posters are DVC members? How many should join since they already go every year?

I was seriously considered becoming a DVC member, but when I looked at the finances, it was more expensive then I could afford. I would need to purchase enough points to go at least 2 weeks a year, and it honestly is more expensive to do that then to just book 2 weeks a year through my annual passholder rate. I would still love to do this - I mean if someone came in and plopped $50,000 on my desk, that's what I would do with it!!!!!
