Any Single Disney Ladies ?

i bought it online thursday night and picked it up friday morning at epcot, spend the day their it was great, going back on tuesday magic kingdom. its so great when you don't have to rush and see evrything at once. we stayed for alomst 6 hours and just looked around mostly enjoyed the atmosphere

Fate was against me...

I used to work for Disney (MK, MGM, Disney Store and recruiting for the WDWCP). I decided I was going to quit my AWFUL job and move to Florida.

I went for 3 days. Had a job fair lined up, a placement agency interview AND was going to casting.

Casting informed me all they had was hourly positions. The interview was cancelled the night before because I didn't live in Orlando yet, and the job fair...well let's say I was bit overqualified.

I decided that it wasn't meant to be, as much as I think I need to be there, destiny wasn't on my side.

So I came back to NY, quit my job and now have a FANTASTIC job...But Florida is ALWAYS in the back of my mind.

I feel your pain. I was a Sr. in college the spring before EPCOT opened. My roommate went to the pre-opening tour while we were there on spring break. While on the tour we were both encouraged to apply for a job. We both declined. And since then I have not been able to get a job with Disney. I have also been told by CM's that unless I am living in FL that I shouldn't bother to apply for a job.

Oh well, visiting there is still my favorite activity.

lol its expensive but worth it

It will pay for itself in about 5 visits to the parks. I have one too, and renewed it in May... its already paid for itself. Enjoy it!

And really in the long run, it is not expensive at all!! It's just laying out all that money up front. But have fun now with it!!

And Disney Dave...we must have been up at Disney around the same time back in '82. I actually did work there - at the MK and then at EPCOT during its opening - because I had moved to Orlando to go to college there and of course...work at Disney. It was a wonderful experience!!

Ariel--Maybe you were one of the CM's that my roommate and I were trying to meet during that trip. Even back then I was looking for my Disney .

I totally agree. I have only been on a short solo trip so far (3 days) but am going for 8 days alone in December.

I'm going alone for my first time Oct 4-9. Can't wait! Have stayed in touch with Cast Members that I've met on previous trips and will hang out with them if I get too lonely But I find it VERY hard to believe that lonely will happen...

Yup... going solo is not bad at all.. I love going with my tribesmen but there are times that I just want to go infront of the castle and sit there the whole day and watch the stream of peeps passing by.. crazy I know but very relaxing for me...
come check us next door you might find a match for dates okaybye... so far a big group has now sprouted for Dec solo trippers...

I can see how relaxing it could be to go alone... but I could not leave my kids behind... I have no trip planned until Oct. 2008 for halloween... my favorite time of the year is also Fall.... I love the cool breeze and the colour changing of the leaves... the different sounds... aahhhhh! it's coming soon ha! and of course HALLOWEEN!

If you want some one to hang out with this coming week I'll be there 8/22-8/26. I'm going solo so meeting up and meeting new people would be pretty cool.
