Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

I see Animal Kingdom Lodge is participating. Do you know the dates (we arrive on Sept 29)? Does it include the Villas (we are DVC members)?

We are staying DVC in Jambo and scheduled FP+ and are waiting for our Magicbands to be shipped. I think the key is that only Jambo is included and Kidani is not. At least what I had read so far suggests that.

I had read somewhere in here to use the reservation # on your bag tags from ME.....assuming you have them already. This is the reservation # i used and it worked fine - pulled up our entire party of 5 and i was able to book. Good Luck!

We are at DVC Jambo as well. Are you staying before the 29th? I don't see the ability to select Magic Bands??

These boards are awesome! I read on the restaurant thread that I could use my magic band confirmation number - and that worked. I was able to book for my entire party of 5 as well. :cool1:
 
Can you modify or cancel the BoG FP+ once you've made it? Is there a penalty if you don't show up?

I know it's a FP+ instead of an ADR, so I assume no penalty. But I don't want to suck up a BoG lunch slot if I'm not totally sure that I can make it on the day I choose if there's no cancellation mechanism.

There is no penalty and I'm not sure if you can cancel. I couldn't access the site on the day we had ours.

Originally I could modify it but not once we started our stay.

As a POP guest for 8 nights, I welcome all of the ghost reservations as long as you actually pay for the one night. It means a bunch of empty rooms and less people on the bus at closing.

FWIW, I do not feel that booking and paying for a room and not using it is unethical. Booking with intention to cancel is.

Hey I can not agree with you more :dance3: it would be a blessing to see to see two to three building empty to the ghost reservations.
 
My FP+ is not showing any shows, parades, or fireworks for any parks. Is anyone else experiencing this as well?

I see Fantasmic! at DHS and Illuminations at Epcot and most shows at AK and DHS but I'm not seeing any parades or fireworks at Magic Kingdom.

It depends on your dates, people traveling early in Sept can book parades, shows, fireworks, but people later in the month (from the 20th on, I believe), cannot.

I know that I check in on the 25th, and I have limited choices, whether more choices will be loaded later remains to be seen.

We're checking in the same day. :) Too bad we aren't getting the shows/fireworks...that's the only thing I wanted to test out, since we've never had Fastpass to those. Maybe it will show up at a later date..
 
I emailed to WDW Guest Relations because of my concerns and questions regarding our Split Stay and MagicBands/FP+ in September.

I have just received and answer which demonstrates that CMs seem to have just little knowledge of different scenarios regarding the testing phase of MyMagic+.

They recommended me to BUY SEPERATE TICKETS for the split stay. Well, I told them in my email that our first stay is a package, we definetely won't buy additional tickets instead of just adding days. Not a very magical answer ;-)

This makes me come to the following decision:
I will stop thinking about the whole MyMagic+ situation now. Our vacation starts in 20 days and if something is not working when we are there they will help us to make it work - everything will be OK. The more often I log in into MyDisneyExperience, the more stressful it gets.

I guess CMs are plunged in at the deep end at the moment.

If you have a question about this upcoming test, I would suggest not contacting guest relations, or any of the typical call center CM, we know more than they do.

If you have a specific question, call the 1-407-w-disney number, and at the very first prompt, say "Magic Bands". That will take you directly to the IT department, who are actually very knowledgeable about the test, and can help you with any problems that arise. I've talked them about 4 times over the past few days and every person I've talked to has gone above and beyond to help me out!

Mine is showing shows but no parades or fireworks. Would love to get Illuminations but they aren't showing up. Anyone know why?
