Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

We are at CSR from 9/13-9/17 and I am sooooooo bummed that our resort isn't included! I know I am still getting to go to Disney but I know we won't be back for several years so I was reallt hoping to get to try it out! I am trying to get my hubby to let me switch to POR but he says he doesnt like it

At least he said I can get tickets to the MNSSHP on 9/13 so I guess at least I get to do that! We have never been to it before. I bet it would be better with a Magic Band on though lol.

Hi All, Sorry if this question has already been answered somewhere within this thread! We are buying APs when we get to WDW next month. Could we select Fastpass+ times if we buy the AP online now and link the voucher to MDE? We are doing a split stay at 2 of the test resorts. We don't want to active the AP until we arrive. Wanted to check with the experts before I took any action...

You could do online check in and after that it doesn't really matter if you show up to get room keys and actually stay in the room. They have automated everything on MDE so you don't have to go to the desk except to get the keys. And who needs keys to a room you won't be sleeping in right?

Thank you, I guess I didn't realize that online check in was the same thing as actually being there, in my mind it was just something to expedite the actual check in process. Makes it even more tempting, I'm just so torn about if it would be worth it. I'm almost scared I'd have issues with it, decisions, decisions!!!

We are going to POR with free dining (had pin code) for Sept 1 thru Sept 10. I know we are going to miss out on the magicbands since apparently they don't start til the 3rd. Does anyone know if we will miss out on the FP+, as well??? I am feeling so disappointed about this, my kids are going to be upset when they see all the kids at the resort with the magicbands on.

I am wondering when/if the MB will be allowed to be ordered. FP+ seems to be available to everyone, but when will we be allowed to customize our MB?

Does anyone know do you HAVE to have your magic bands shipped to your house?

Can you have them shipped to your resort to pickup upon check in?

What happens to people leaving for vacation 1 to 2 weeks prior checking in to WDW? Can you choose an alternate shipping address?

We'll be at Poly 9/22-9/30. I just realized I can make FP+ selections.

I have no invites.

If I have access to FP+ but don't make selections, will I be able to just use regular fastpass? Or do we think that people will be required to use FP+?

I'd hate to make FP+ selections if refraining from doing so would lock me into the old program, but I'd hate to NOT make FP+ selections and then find out during check-in that I can't use regular FP.

Seems like if this is a test, they can't force you into it, but maybe this thing will be fully launched by the end of September?

to the ones that are receiving your magic bands, did you receive an email, saying you were selected with instructions. 2 CM's told me that in order to get the magic bands, you have to receive an email saying you have been selected and it will be within the 17 days window.

This is crazy. I talked to a CM today as we are at Poly 9/13-21 and she was very discouraging and kept saying TEST and said our hotel was not included.

Either way, I am not worried. We go to WDW & stay at the Poly every damn year and that's a blessing in and of itself. There was someone on this post saying "how upset" their kids would be if they didn't have a MB?! Please. You're at WDW. The happiest place on earth. Perspective.

I am at POR Sept 2-8 and they say I also miss out on them. I am disappointed as my hubby has difficulty walking so I thought it might save him a few steps and waiting in line

Okay, walk me through the ghost RO thing again. Are the people doing this actually keeping the reservation or not?

For those planning on canceling, do you just call Disney and cancel? Will that mess up your existing reservations (Magical Express, etc)?

For those planning on keeping them, are you actually planning on being there and checking in, or just no-showing that day and just arriving at your new resort on your original check-in day? Any chance that would mess up your existing reservation?

From all the info I've been reading the past few days it seems you will have the option to get your key card if you want ALONG with your magic band....when you check into your resort ask them for a key card as well. I hope that makes sense :/ I think unless you call them and ask NOT to participate they will send you guys bands no matter what. You are able to make regular fastpass WITH your card while having the bands to.

I just checked online on MDE and clicked on manage bands and it gave me the option to customize them and I has to verify my address.
