Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

We spoke to a CM today who actually listed what hotels were being tested for September. They are as follows:
Pop Century
Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo only)
Yacht Club
Beach Club
Art of Animation
Polynesian
Contemporary
Port Orleans Riverside

She said she literally just got the list today and when asked if more hotels would come online in September she did not sound hopeful.

So I guess that is that.

Hmmm, I was able to get FP+ for all parts of my stay: Pop, BCV & BWV which is not on the list. Maybe because I am starting my stay at Pop?

Now we have confirmation we are genuinely considering it. I figure it should be guilt free if I pay for the room at Pop I'm allowed to get the bands with a clear conscience. I think.



We might book one night at Pop and wing it.

If you really want the MB that might be the way. It would be the cheapest way. Good luck on what ever you do. But please keep us posted on what you decide, if you don't mind. I just know you would really love to get them too.

That's exactly why. Once you have FP+ access it lets you do it for as many days as you have passes to the park. But if you didn't have Pop at all you wouldn't get the bands or the passes.

Anybody able to book Illuminations for September? Previous poster mentioned only Saturday or Sunday? Would be so happy to have Illuminations reserved

I just booked Illuminations for Friday Sept. 20. I also chose Soarin and TT and all the times were in the evening so then I went back and changed Soarin to 9-10 a.m. and TT to 10-11am. So we can do those 1st thing in the morning, tour around leisurely til mid-afternoon, head back to BC for some swimming at SAB and then pop back over that night for Illuminations with preferred viewing. The arrival time for Illuminations is 8:35 - 8:55pm

Won't all your stuff be cancelled if you cancel your room reservation? I mean wouldn't the MBs be linked to it first? And would you need to do on-line check-in to the RO prior to canceling (to get credit card added for charging privileges)?

Will that work or will you lose access to the FP+ once you do not have the reservation at the testing resort? I booked POP for one night but I plan on staying there. It's really just an excuse to extend our trip

Yes, that is what I was planning as well if I didn't just have us move there from Renaissance SW early. I actually thought that moving early would be easier than taking a taxi over to actually appear in person for check-in - which is what I figured would be required to have the MBs work with my credit card, etc..

I just switched to the pop paid an extra $57 worth it for the stay and am into FP+ yet no option to select MB yet though I have all my FP+s now just got to pick blue when I can select. Arriving sept 8

You don't have to actually check in for them to be activated?

If I wanted to pay for the room for our first night, would I have to check in at both Pop and CSR?

You could do online check in and after that it doesn't really matter if you show up to get room keys and actually stay in the room. They have automated everything on MDE so you don't have to go to the desk except to get the keys. And who needs keys to a room you won't be sleeping in right?

Not ashamed to admit I totally made a ghost RO at POP and just ordered my Magic bands! I keep checking with my airline to see if rates come down for the day before so I can actually keep and use the room but it doesn't look good.

So, like many folks here, I have not received any email invitations yet. But my FP+ options became available on Monday, and I was able to customize MB on Tuesday. Today I received an email alert that my Magic Band has shipped via UPS, (with a tracking number). Also today, several other FP+ attractions and shows opened up. Now I get to go back and change a bunch of my FP's.

It's funny that my FP+/MB eligibility begins 3 days into my trip. It's on the day that I switch resorts to AKL. I will also be moving to WL a little later in the trip. Don't know if the MB will work to open the room door at WL, but I am able to reserve FP+ through the remainder of my trip.

When I called Disney about this the other day, the CM told me to print out my FP+ confirmations and bring it with me. She said that even if I turn out to NOT be eligible, I can show it to the front desk CM's at my hotel and they would "take care of it", as a "Guest Service issue". I'm not yet at the 17-day mark for my AKL reservation, so we'll just have to wait and see what develops in the next few days. It seems like a lot is going on now with this whole FP+ thing. I expect a full roll-out in time for the holiday season.
