Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

Craig who is a member of the DisUnplugged podcast team has confirmed that after his one night stay at Pop his Annual Pass is still attached to his band and he is still able to make FP+ selections if he wanted to go into the parks tomorrow. As for room entry, meal plan, or charging capabilities that are added at the front desk I can't say for sure.

Awesome! Thanks for that. That's good to know. The second half of our trip is our 10th anniversary part of our trip and honestly it sounds great that we won't have to be at rope drop! Thanks!

Hmmm...I'm hoping that the selections don't get deleted once we check out of POP. we booked a room only at POP for 9/12-9/15 then checking into WL CL 9/15-9/21. WL is not testing but MDE let me make FP+ selections for the whole stay. DH and I have APs but Dd (5) only has a 5 day PH. We are going to add days to hers but MDE wouldn't let us book more than 5 days of FP+ for her.

I would think there would be a lot of disappointed folks if they took the time to customize magic bands and choose fast pass plus only to have it cut off in the middle of a split stay when MDE gives the option for each and every day. I will admit, as well, to making a one night reservation at the POP, which I fully intend to pay for, but won't sleep there. I justified it by dividing the cost over five days and three people, and decided that for what we want to do this trip--- not having to do RD, which we have done each time-- and because we'll be visiting the water parks and we're pretty sure we can get away with not renting lockers if we have the bands, it was worth it. I don't really think Disney cares, and if they did care that much the FP plus options would be tied to the hotel stay and not the passes, which is what it seems to be tied to. So yeah, we'll see how it goes, but I have no reason to think it won't work. I don't think very many people are even aware this is an option, so I can't see it skewing the testing or being statistically significant in any way. And of those that are, probably fewer will want to pay extra for the opportunity to be part of the test.

I haven't seen any reports of that :confused3 I've actually seen reports of the opposite - that the split stay made no difference. But I guess we will know more once the September tests officially start.

Here is one: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=49319291&postcount=268

Sadly, after our switch to the Poly. Our Bands kind of slowed down and MDE deleted most of our Fastpasses. We were also going to eat at BOG but MDE lost the reservation. They also stopped saying the Band was valid for charging.

Ok, I will go waist deep in this one. What Is ethical and what is not. I admit I made a RO reservation at POP to that I could participate in the test during my split stay at Kidani. I have all intentions of paying for that one night room and not staying there. Disney will receive my room payment as revenue, I never check in or out so the profit margin on my room is larger than most. Is this any more unethical than say:

Telling the parking attendant at the MK or BW that you have dinner reservations at either the poly or boardwalk, when you really don't, so you don't have to pay parking and you have easier access to the parks?

Borrowing your neighbors AP so that you don't have to pay parking?

Using your refillable mug for the third straight year?

Book a week at POP while staying at a DVC resort so you could get the free dining for the week. Back in the day when every resort received the regular dining package during free dinning?

How about those who had not intentions of taking a Disney vacation booking one day at POP for the test and when they received their free magic bands for the entire family cancelled the one night reservation.

How about those who wait by the elevator and offer to buy DVC members a drink if they can tag along to the TOTWL?

I seem to remember someone earlier posting how credit cards and drivers licenses would work in FP machines. Hmmm, I wonder if that really works. Funny, I didn't see anyone post that was unethical or immoral.

My favorite as I got turn away from a booked restaurant, the 30 or 20 something who flirts with the host / hostess and gets right in for a table?

Look inside, if you are without then you can criticize. If you are not, as a practicing Buddhist, I extend the Buddhist symbol of oneness to you as a sign of friendship.

All of those things are inappropriate and not something anyone should do. Sure you pay for the room but what about someone who actually wanted to use it?

I am staying at POP with a travel party of 11 (so 3 rooms). I was able to book the FPs for everyone right around the same time. It look a while, but it should save time in the long run because we don't have to zigzag through the park to get FPs. :)

I did have an issue with our Hollywood Studios day for my room only. I tried to change the time of my RNR FP and it would not let me. I even tried to cancel all of my selections for that day entirely and it wouldn't let me do that either. I logged in to the other 2 rooms and I could modify their RNR FPs all I wanted to. I called the helpline and the cast member was able to force a FP onto my reservation at the time that I wanted, but she could not get the old time deleted. It says now that I have overlaps. She was going to refer it to the IT department. She said that she had not seen that before. She has never not been able to delete something. I hope it still works!

My morning ramblings that were on my mind all weekend:

Has anyone gotten BoG past 9/29 yet?

And I did chat with Disney IT online late last night. They are still adding inventory, releasing FP+'s. I'm one of the lucky waiting for the 9/29 and on dates.

Do we remember when inventory opened up for FP+ for September? I wonder if it will be around the same time for October, just a month later.

Has anyone been able to reserve parade and fireworks during the same time period as MNSSHP? Not DURING, but since most parties are weekends, and FP+ for parades and fireworks were only released on weekends...

I was willing to change our plans, called Disney's IT and inquired about split stays, and they told me the bands would only work for the days we were checked into the testing resort. Bummer. Guess we will stick with what we have.

September opened 60days out. The FP+ only attractions are still not all released though for the month. August was rolled out with all of it ready to go. July was rolled out without any of the parades, fireworks, etc as it was CM testing.

Wow that's interesting. I can't wait for those doing split stays in September to non testing resorts in the second half to report back. Right now most of us assume it will work as long as park tickets are valid.

Very interesting. Doesn't affect me, but I'm still waiting on selections past September 29th.

I am beginning to choose options now for Sept 11-14 at AOA.
It's a little tedious. Especially with the FP options. WDW chooses the FP times for you---you have a little wiggle room to change times. I had just chosen the MK for Sept 12----only problem is, the ONLY FP times are PRIOR to 5 or 6 pm. My husband's plane doesn't even land until 6 pm. We can't be in the parks early that day. So it's difficult to be pigeon-hold in to their specific choices. I find it hard to believe there are absolutely no FP times for after 5 or 6 pm??

I needed FP's after 7 pm and the site gave me zero options for this. So I had to figure out how to cancel a visit to the MK.....now going to check Epcot.

Just reporting for those who are curious or in the same boat as us:

We have access to FP+ (Staying at POP starting Sept 24th).

We do NOT have access to any FP+ beyond Sept 28th (Sept 29th and beyond says "No FastPass+ availability").

I have also not yet seen any parades, Wishes, Illuminations, or Fantasmic available as a FP+ selection for Sept 24 and beyond.

It's likely a party night. Park closes at 7. You'll need to look at the party calendar and plan your days accordingly.

Have you tried changing each individual FP+ after you've booked it? I'm not talking about during the selection process (option A, B, etc). But after you book your selections, you can go back and edit your selections (change the time slot) and I've found nearly every time slot all day long was open for me (this is for the end of September, however)

I am looking at Sept 4-17. Has anybody been able to see the MSEP, Wishes, or the 3 pm parade at MK with FP+? I haven't seen them pop up but wasn't sure if maybe I had just missed them somehow.

Ok...so went to make FP choices for Epcot. I can't fit 3 in to the time period I have but cannot figure out how to cancel just one of them??? This is TEDIOUS! Been working on this for 45 min now

You have to have 3. It's not optional. Just schedule one earlier and be a no show.

This is a major flaw of the system. It forces you to waste FP that you won't be using.
