Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

On my itinerary page it says you can start making fastpass+ selections beginning sept 22, 2013. Does anyone else get that under their itinerary?

Mine says Sept 14, which is the day we arrive. If you click on words "Learn More", it takes me to the page where I can book my FP+.

I was asked to hold back on posting this until today, but Magic Bands will be issued to all Port Orleans Riverside guests for stays commencing 2nd/3rd September onward.

Emails and letters will start going out today to inform guests arriving in 18 days that they can pre-book their FastPass+ times (up to 60 days out in fact) and customise their Magic Bands (colour and name) via the My Disney Experience site. It may not be possible for Disney to contact all guests (e.g. those who have booked via some travel agents) but the new system will still apply to everyone regardless.

Continental USA guests should be able to get their Magic Bands mailed out in advance, others will need to pick them up at the Front Desk when they check in. Key cards will still be issued as a backup for the foreseeable future.

While this is still officially classified as a "test", the general expectation is that unless there are major problems this will most likely remain permanent from now on.

French Quarter will follow within the next few months.

Andre

Next FEW months for POFQ!!! guess that means all hope is gone for my stay in late september. :(

Was this from an employee at POR or somewhere else?

I can't do anything yet-POR sept 2-8 So I will just keep checking back. I still get the pop up with the Aug. and Oct dates

Ok, I'm trying to keep up... we are checking in AKL Jambo on Aug 31 then moving to AKL Kidani on Sept 1-14. Both are on DVC points. We have 4 annual passes and 1 annual pass voucher linked to our ressie on MDE.
If AKL Jambo, DVC, is included, why can't I make FP+? (I just logged in and nothing has changed). I'm 17 days out as of today.
Any reason?

Ok, so is the general consensus that DVC point reservations weren't included in August testing and my check in is too early for the September testing??? Didn't someone say they have DVC points/Kidani and can make FP+ selections? Or is something not "linked" right on my MDE account?
I'd love to call and ask "someone", but it seems like that is pointless (?).

I posted in another thread on MB's here but thought I'd post here too in case anyone's not thread hopping (I think that's like park hopping, just less lines and no rides).

FYI - not sure if it means anything or not... I am checking into CBR on 9/8, and starting last night when I clicked on make FP+ reservations I intermitently get the error saying I can't make reservations for days I am not staying at the resort, different from the (super frustrating) "ready for a new kind of magic" popup. Not sure if it means anything whatsoever, but at least for me, I'll hold onto a glimmer of hope that this could mean that I might possibly sortof kindof maybe get MB's.

I'll voice what everyone already reading this is thinking - what a poor roll-out and failed communication opportunity for Disney. The public relations side of Disney has tried everyway to get people excited about this and yet the CM's, the MDE website, and lack of email communication has truly been dissapointing. I am still excited to take my kids for their first Disney trip, but this has certainly been a dissapointing and frustrating experience getting there...

What do you expect from a company who couldn't even get their website working right for months?

The POR thread. Andre is the expert and was just there. He has successfully given the board heads up on most things...free dining RFID drink mugs, renovations, etc. He knows his stuff!

I need me a Wilderness Lodge expert right now. Lol.

Yeah see we arrive sept 22nd so this is probably a soft roll out and I'm thinking everyone will be able to start ordering their magic bands closer to their arrival dates like 17 days out the way most people are getting them. That gives a glimmer of hope to great things to come.

Andre is a frequent guest at POR and has multiple onsite contacts that provide him information. He just finished a 2 wk stay at the resort earlier this week.

He runs the portorleans.org website. You can trust his information to be as true as far as the cast members he works with knew when they told him the information.

I understand where you are coming from but the majority don't make it to Disney once a yr, let alone several times. I think it would be pretty cool to get to try the newest thing and get a neat souvenir along with it. If its not available for us this yr, we won't get a chance to try it for at least a couple yrs. I am not going to cancel my trip over it or anything, but it would still be pretty cool to be a tester for Disney!!

I agree. I didn't really want to be a part of it but now that I can make my selections I'm excited. The last time I went was 2009 and I don't know when I'll be back! I want to try it if I can.

In addition to Epcot - More choices for Hollywood Studios (shows! - no Fantasmic) than there were last night. Not on all days though - and to see some time sensitive options I had to choose "Select or Replace" instead of Change. Fun!

how would i go about seeing if illuminations is up on the fastpass+ reservation i have test track as my last fastpass+ pick so would i start the process all over again ?

Me and my wife are arriving for our Honeymoon on 9/18 and staying through 9/27 at AKL. I checked MDE this morning and was able to make all my Fastpass+ selections for every single day of my trip! Worked perfectly and was able to adjust my times around my meals during the day as I pleased. I still, however, don't have the opportunity to customize our Magic Bands. MDE still shows the same page it has been where it is asking if I want to link a Magic Band or Card. I will keep checking as the days go by to see when I can start to customize them and let everyone know. I am 34 days out from my trip FWIW. :cool1:

I have a question and not sure if this is the right spot. The children in my group are all under the age of five and was thinking there were be more "under 40-inches-tall" FP+ attractions to choose from. Like Enchanted Tales with Belle, but that's not listed.
Is there a list somewhere of all the available FP attractions?
Is everyone getting the same attractions to choose from?
Can I still use the "normal" FP system for the more toddler-friendly attractions?

I feel bad because even though I AM NOT selecting FP+ times for things like Everest, RNR, etc, they just book them for me anyway.

Thank you in advance.
