According to things I have read this board over the last couple years, I am a lazy parent because I have spanked and because I didn't breastfeed. I also let my poor child be raised in daycare when I went to work. I'm sure there is more, but I'm too lazy to think about it.

I am ready to just accept my laziness. Tonight when I go home, instead of cleaning the house, making sure homework is done, reading the things sent home from school, doing the laundry, getting my child a bath and ready for bed, and reading him a book, I'm just gonna plop down in front of the TV with a box of bon-bons. Anyone with me? ;)

I did breastfeed, and I don't spank, but I am lazy because I used a harness a couple of times with my 2 year old DD at WDW last year.

Bring on the bon bons, sister!

I'm lazy parent too, but not quite as lazy as you since I breastfed for a whole 8 days! So there! ;)

Lazy lazy lazy - I'm right there with you.

I did breastfeed, but in a lazy way since I often fell asleep while I was nursing, and had to pump at work.

I am lazy because my kids have gone to a home day care since they were small. I truly believe that other people, besides DH and me, can teach my kids something - but I am just saying that because I am lazy.

I let my kids play by themselves all the time. I let them ride the bus. I let them go to gymnastics by themselves. I leave them to go on vacations and trips without them.

I don't always wash their bodies and hair when they take baths. I figure they do a good enough job themselves, and soak in the tub for such a long time, they are bound to be clean. Or, is it beacuse I am lazy?

I don't interfere and solve or break up every argument or problem they ave with one another. I say I am letting them learn to handle things on their own, you might say I am lazy.

I don't jump on their teachers every time they complain about something at school, and I give the teachers the benefit of the doubt at all times. I'm just too lazy to deal with it, I guess.

If I am lazy because I am trying to teach my kids some independence, self-esteem, and maintain a life for myself at the same time, then call me Queen of Lazytown!

..according to my SIL.
1. I work full-time and according to her -- I don't love my kids and shouldn't have had any.
2. I spank on occasion.
3. Let my kids have candy and watch TV other than PBS.

Oh, but I did nurse DD -- didn't nurse DS -- it just didn't work out. So that's why I labeled myself -- quasi-lazy.

But- - you have to love my SIL -- she quit her job when her child was born...put him in Mother's Day Out (so she could do what she wanted to do) & hired a maid.

Oh, darn I thought you meant REALLY LAZY...........I typed that as I'm sitting, or reclining here in my recliner with a dog asleep in my lap and a cat asleep on my arm while I'm lazing the day away on the computer watching my Soaps.

So you didn't mean THAT kind of lazy :confused3 :rotfl:

Let's see I didn't breastfeed!
I did swat John-Cole on the butt a few times when he was on my nerves as a little child.
He did stay in daycare because I have only been fortunate enough not to have to work for the last 4 years!

Yep I'm a lazy parent in more ways then one!!!!!

I let them ride the bus.

Crap, this makes me lazy? I hadn't heard that before. I always thought I was lazy for not having my kid up, ready and waiting for the bus by 6:30. I guess I can't win.

This is how lazy I am........we went to a late lunch on Sunday for my birthday about 3pm and I knew they would be to full to have dinner. Later that night we had cake and ice cream and they asked about dinner, I told them we had it early. They insisted that was lunch, I made a combo meal called "Linner". They bought it!:rotfl:

I guess I am lazy also -

Didn't even consider breastfeeding
DS went to Daycare
DS now goes to after school care
I also let DS eat candy and watch TV other then PBS

Maybe I will also forget about doing laundry - making dinner - doing homework tonight & also watch TV - but I will have truffles! YUM!

Any kind of lazy counts. :thumbsup2

I am lazy with you.

Didn't breastfeed (DD couldn't latch on due to her cleft palate- I was chastised at the time (not on the DIS) for not pumping  ). Whatever.

DD went to daycare- in-home for a year then regular

I work full time and even have to travel occasionally

Was told by DH and MIL that I would not be a good SAHM -- really ticked me off since I never had a choice, DH was told he would be losing his job when I was preg.

I dont have a SIL, so how do you know so much about me? :)
At least I dont have a full time nanny from 9-2 everyday like my best friend does and a standing Sat night sitter who keeps the child until at least 2 pm on Sundays :rotfl: AND a maid and doesnt work. :lmao:

Did you say, "Tonight when I get home..."

ARE YOU DISing from WORK??
:lmao:

Ok, that IS LAZY!
:thumbsup2
and fun, too!

But it's silly to say someone is lazy for not breastfeeding. I know what you mean though, there is always something! As long you didnt drink the breast milk for yourself and keep it from your child due to greediness... then I have no problem. My husband always wanted it. HELLO! Like we didnt have a half gallon of the regular stuff in the fridge! Whats up with that??????

Most of this is me too except I didn't breastfeed and since my DD is only 13 months some of it doesn't apply to me yet. I can't be too lazy yet because DD is toddling around so I have to watch her every single second.

I'm the OP from the thread the other day where my friend accused me of not loving my DD as much as she loves hers because she's more overprotective than me. At the time I was upset but now I'm thinking I should have just been too lazy to care! ;)

Yep, I'm lazy, although I did breast feed each of them for 8 weeks until I went back to work and sent them to the babysitter because I was too lazy to watch them myself!

I'm lazy enough too, to feed them a pack of crackers on the mad rush between getting home from work and taking them to an evening softball, baseball, fill in the blank practice.

So, yep, I'll join you on the couch with bon-bons tonight after I finish spanking my kids and putting them to bed in their own bed!

I'm too lazy to take the wheels out my kids' heelies before going to the store.

Lazy here also, even contemplated renting a family fleet of ECV's at WDW until yesterday when I learned from another thread that not only would that make us lazy but we would be fat too!:lmao:

Yeah, lazy parent here which explains why I only get 5-6 hours of sleep at night. I gues it is because I am lazily doing the laundry, picking up the crap, lunch packing, homework checking, teacher e-mailing, fund raiser calculating, home team rooting, hubby servicing, back pack searching (how do they lose it in the first hour they get home I ask you?) all the while monitoring the shower to make sure that the entire body gets scrubbed, including "there?" "yes, there, needs to be clean too".

Yep, lazy and dang proud of it!

Lazy parents unite:grouphug:
