OK, so today, I broke down and bought a basal thermometer. I said I wasn't going to get into all of that, but I am curious, and, why not? I work from home so I don't have to be up at any certain time, so I think it should be easy.
I have a few questions about it though.
Today I am on CD10. Should I start temping tomorrow?
I could only find a digital basal thermometer. The glass ones didn't say basal any place on them, but this one did. Is that OK?
What time do you all temp? I normally wake up around 7, but it just depends, sometimes earlier, sometimes later. I don't mind setting an alarm.![]()
Where do I get the charts from? I am CLUELESS! But excited to try this.
Oh, and I figured out why I am losing a lot of hair!!! I read that if you had a m/c, within about 2-3 months, you may start losing your hair, just like if you had a baby. At least I know why now.![]()
I've only seen the digital thermometers, and that is what I used. It is fine.
It doesn't matter what time you temp, but it should be as close to the same time every day as possible. You should do it right when you wake up, before you run to the bathroom and before you have anything to eat or drink, while you are still in bed.
I second the free charting at www.fertilityfriend.com. It will give you a great chart and you can see exactly what day you ovulate. You can also enter other info/fertility signs in there.
