Denae- they are just adorable!

Thanks, I tend to think so, too.

We haven't gotten to WDW with them, yet. We are thinking aboutnext year, but it is a lot more complicated to plan with them being in school now. We took them on DCL when they were 3 and 4 and they loved it - but tired easily, and we really had to plan some down time so they could catch up. We found down time during the shows. As soon as the lights went out, they would climb in our laps and fall asleep. when the lights came back on, we had two heavy kids to lug back to the stateroom. What great memories.

Hi everyone! Sounds like all of you are having JUST AS MUCH FUN as me counting and calculating everything. This should be my big O week. I think I will on Friday. I'm using a home opk, but am not sure about the accuracy right now. Yesterday, my line was fainter than the test. Today, no line for me, just the test. But I also worked last night and was drinking more, so my urine was probably more diluted. It's hard to test correctly and even harder to bd with my schedule. I work 3 twelve hour night shifts a week, and have a 5 year old at home. We bd so far on Sunday, and plan to on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. I have to work Thursday night. Nothing like planned "activity"! lol

If dh only knew I was doing all this....his part is to say "okay" when I tell him it's time. lol

i'm going crazy today. i'm 10dpo. and it probably doesn't help that i don't have anything to do right now. i was working on a cross stitch but my dog ate it. arrrrgh.

OK...so AF showed up just in time for our trip to Disneyland.

So now we are back and ready to start again. I called to see an OB but they are not scheduling new patients till Jan and Feb. :furious: So I called my regular doctor and they can get me in Nov 2nd for a blood test.

I also dream about taking our children to Disney. Being able to share with them all the joy that comes with spending time together in a wonderful place. My folks didn't take me until I was 17. That will not be the case with out kids.

thanks for sharing, that is such helpful info! my boss is great, and knows about all of my struggle/journey so far, so she will be fine if i miss more days i guess. i am not looking forward to that gas pain in the shoulders etc. I've heard about it. ugh! oh well- hopefully it 'cleans' me out and makes our chances better in November. thanks again :wizard:

You're Welcome. I had been told about the gas, but when I didn't feel it the evening of the surgery I thought "shew, I didn't get that after all". WRONG It hit me while I was sleeping. My arms were so heavy that I felt like I had been boxing all day and had weights attached to them.

Other things that helped:

  • LOTS OF PILLOWS. I slept at an upright angle for two nights b/c laying flat hurt and sitting up hurt. DH slept on the couch and I took the whole bed. It was nice to be right in the middle.

  • Either a cell phone or a walkie talkie. Because of the pain meds you will be loopy and very wobbly on your feet. It's good to have a cell phone or walkie talkie beside you. That way when you need something or have to use the bathroom you can call DH to come help :teeth: Believe me...I used that phone to my advantage.

  • Books and movies. You're not going to want to get up and there will be nothing on tv to watch. So stock up on a couple of good books or rent a few movies. I think I watched 6 movies that weekend :)

Count me in as another one with the Disney daydream of seeing my child's face light up when s/he sees the castle for the first time! I think about that moment over and over and plan all kinds of different trips in my head. It's my favorite way to unwind at bedtime and fall asleep - I "plan" a Disney trip for my as yet un-conceived child(ren)! Unfortunately, DH doesn't enjoy Disney vacations. :scared1: (There is a reason he's known as "Grumpy" in the family!) He humors my "obsession", at least, and guards my "Disney fund" as carefully as if it were our retirement fund. When he was laid off I volunteered to break into the Disney fund if needed, and he refused to take any of that money for paying bills, so it survived the jobless months!

I am 6/7 dpo now. I keep "checking" myself to see if I feel differently. I don't. At least I don't think I do. Thank goodness there is the Dis.

I have the Disney thoughts of taking my child to the world, but I can get disapointed so easily and because I don't have even one child yet, I don't even allow myself to dream. Pathetic, I know.

It's nice to meet all of you. :)

AF left yesterday so I figure we'll start trying again tonight. Does charting really help? I just keep forgetting to take my temp every morning. I remember AFTER I get out of bed and by then it's too late, right? I have been taking note of the other signs lately, but I just can't remember to do my temp!

We brought DS to WDW for the first time last December when he was 2.5. It was an amazing trip. He STILL talks about it! I'm anxious to see how much he remembers when we go back in January!

I think I'm a little weird...
I haven't thought at all about taking the kid to WDW. It's strange because the baby still seems like such an abstract to me. I know he's in my belly and I'm always rubbing it and DH and I are always saying "Hi baby" and stuff (and before I kept asking why baby was making mommy so sick all the time.. HA) but it doesn't seem real to me yet. I think it'll hit me once I actually have him in my arms.
I think it's just the way I deal with things. I'm always the one that doesn't panic when things are going on. I tend to keep a pretty level head and get things done...until it's over then I'm a wreck. I dunno.

Hi again

Well, my name is Mel (25...almost 26) and DH is Michael (29...explorer1977 on the boards) and we've been married for just over a year (Sept 3 last year).

I went off BCP on our anniversary and we didn't really push the first month. Luckily, my first AF after BCP was right on time, practically to the hour, so I think we might have a leg up in that department.

This month, I've started temping and tracking using FF. Apparently, I O'd on CD10, instead of CD12 like I thought I would...so, we'll see what the end of the month brings. AF is scheduled for the 31st -- Happy Halloween to me!

Both DH and I are Disney Fanatics -- I come from a whole family of them, but most especially my father! That's why, to tell them when we do get pg, we're having our neighbour pick up embroidered ears that say "Nana" and "Papa". I'm soooo excited about it, that hopefully it's soon!!

Our next Disney vacation happens in January for my birthday -- our first trip as DVC members and our first 7 night cruise! I can't wait! After that, DH is already planning our first trip with babyexplorer -- since I get a year of mat leave up here in the great white North, we can go when s/he is just close to a year and I won't have to take time off...

Ahhh....that was pretty longwinded! Hope everyone else is having a good week!

How's everyone doing today?

Elaine and Carla - are you feeling ok, or has m/s set in?

Mel - the way you have planned to tell your parents is TOOO cute, with the Mickey ears!

Have a great day, all!

So happy to meet all of you here! :teeth:

I'm currently on CD11 during our first month of TTC & charting. I'm really not sure when I'll O - based on "averages" that I've read - it could be anytime late this week or sometime next week. We've been BD'g to cover all bases!! LOL :)

We're so excited to get this show on the road - I've been looking at all kinds of nursery furniture, trying to figure out what we'll really need. It's been a lot of fun - I can't wait until I can actually start getting some of this cute baby stuff! :lmao:

Hope everyone is having a good week! :)

Today is just not my day. I took a first response hpt and got a BFN, I'm cramping and feeling all PMS'y. And I just found out that my aunt has cancer for the third time but worse. :(

That sucks, Ash. You are only 11 DPO, right? That might be too early to get a BFP. Also, early PG symptoms can feel like PMS for some people. Don't lose hope.

I am so sorry about your aunt. We are having cancer issues in our family right now, too. It seems everyone is being touched by that horrible disease these days.

It seems like my family has had its share of cancer issues. My mom and three of her sisters have had breast cancer. :sad2:

I am 11dpo, but feel really crampy and my joints are achy.

Mel - I love the ears idea when telling your parents when you are pg!! Hopefully you will be able to give the ears soon! :sunny:

Emily - I am also waiting for O. I am on CD14, and thought I might be O'ing after yesterdays small temp spike. But, it was back down today...so we are still waiting.

Ash - don't give up hope!! You never know....you could be pg! Sending some baby dust to you.... :wizard:

Cancer sucks Ash my Mom had bladder breast and brain cancer; she died of the latter; all primary. Went in for the baseline u/s and bloodwork good size ovaries and 4 less than 10 on left and 3 on right. Also the nurse was a disney fan so we talked about Disney

Ash, sorry about your Aunt.

And I don't want to get your hopes too UP, but PMS and pregnancy symptoms (at least for me) were SOOOO similar. In fact, I was SURE I wasn't pregnant. So, it's not all over yet. AND even if you do get AF- this was only your first month. You'd be one heck of an overachiever if you got pg that quick! :p :goodvibes

I have a silly question.

Is it possible to get pregnant the week before AF is due? Would I still get AF?

My cycle is irregular (I don't always have AF each month). Anyway the first day of AF last month was 09/12. I am starting to get symptoms of her coming, but when BD earlier this week.
