Belly Laughs... THAT's the name!! It was very funny! :)

I know testing at 8DPO is silly... oh well. It was sad too. I don't have anymore tests and I won't have anymore until I go shopping. I don't have any cash on me so at least I need to *think twice* before just stopping for a quick test!! Hopefully I can hold out!

My temps before O is very steady at 97.7. There will be a blip here or there or on the weekend when I wake up a lot later but it's pretty steady. Since it's my first month after O I don't know what standard I have after O. My temp is still rising. I like to think it's a good sign! :)

This is my most recent chart from yesterday. Today's temp was up .2 from yesterday to 98.4. Did I post this here already? I forget! :)

Anyway, if yours does the same, consider yourself lucky! Trying to figure out an erratic chart makes you  !

I'm already  !!! :lmao: :lmao:

But I'm glad to know that this is ok. Vettechick is hereby pronounced the Charting Queen! princess: :worship:

:rotfl2:

I just keep hoping to see that spike! Dh and I have been bd every other day at least, because I have no idea when I'll O. Got to cover the bases, so to speak.

And be forewarned, I'm going to be crazy when it happens and I get my 2ww!!!

Becky ~ Well be here for you in the two week wait. I am in the one week wait and I am crazy and obsessed! Are you going to get the Ovusoft program? I am going to buy it tonight. I have too much fun watching the temps go up and I want to get my little ducky!

Hi everyone, I just found this thread and would like to add our names. I will be 25 next month and DH is 28, and we have been married 6 years. We plan to start trying this month (as soon as my monthly visitor leaves ;) ). DH can't wait to have kids, he loves being around them. I left to get us food at a work softball game, and when I came back, he was holding a co-workers baby!

I'm another one that had endometriosis and cysts (with 3 rounds of Lupron, total of one year of menopause), so I am a little nervous that we will have problems, but my OB-GYN seemed optimistic. I've been off the pill 3 months, but we haven't started TTC yet, just TTA so far, but I am taking prenatals.

We haven't told anyone yet, since I am afraid we will have problems, and I don't want anyone asking me questions that will just upset me. I also travel for my job, but I am trying to schedule it around ovulation as much as I can.

I'm glad this thread was started, b/c no one else in my life is TTC (that I know of, not many married friends). It's good to be able to share on the DIS!

Baby pixie dust for everyone! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Thanks! It's nice to know I can come on here and vent/complain/be obsessive about Ovulation and getting pg and everyone understands!

:grouphug: to everyone!

Yeah- I think I am going to buy the program. If I don't ovulate this month, I want to keep using it. At any rate, even if I do get pg this month, I'll have the program for next time we ttc. Assuming I don't decide to have just one kid after this whole thing is said and done!! :lmao:

Hi Pollito!!

QOTD: I wanted a fun way to tell dh that he is going to be a daddy for the first time! And I found it tonight while I was shopping. I was at Old Navy, and I found the cutest little onesies- one pink, and one blue, and they have a little monkey on the front. Dh and I call each other "Monkey" all the time- it's our special little term of endearment, and we call our nieces our "monkeys" (we're taking them with us to WDW!!). Our baby will automatically be our monkey!

So, I bought one pink monkey onesie and one blue monkey onesie and little monkey booties! As SOON as I get a BFP, I'm going to wrap them up and give them to him!

Okay, I need some input here. DH and I are discussing TTC, and we're currently tentatively set on starting TTC in the fall. In the meantime, I'm taking the vitamins, watching my diet and exercise, having a pre-TTC appt. with the OB/GYN (in July) to make sure everything is in order. And we've still been using BC (not the pill - I have reasons why I can't take them). I've been planning on starting to chart when AF arrived this month.

But AF didn't show up this month! I'm now 6 days past when AF should have arrived, but all I had was some spotting about 12 days ago. I thought that AF was on her way - I had other PMS symptoms - so I just thought AF was showing up early. But no AF! I haven't missed one period in about 8 years - not since I was living with 12 other women in one cabin at a camp for 5 months. (there's another story...) I still have PMS symptoms - pimples, lower back pain, bloating, craving chocolate, and fatigue.

DH knows AF hasn't shown up, but he hates talking about "female things" and doesn't want much more info. And he's still not 100% sure about having a baby and is very nervous about the whole concept.

What would you do? Should I go buy a preg test without telling my nervous DH? Should I tell him I should POAS? Should I just wait and see what happens next month since I'm already taking vitamins and taking care of my body? I'm so torn!! Part of me is thinking "you're just late this month, settle down, take a chill pill, hold your horses, don't get your undies in a bundle... There's no way you are pregnant" and the other part of me is horribly excited to be a mom and just wants to KNOW yes or no and move on.

:confused3

Personally, I would POAS. There is no way I could handle not knowing. But- that's just me.

I think I would only tell your dh IF you get a BFP- otherwise, no need to get him even more worked up... If you get a BFN, then everything can go on as planned. And if it is a BFP, then find a cute way to tell your dh, and he'll get used to the idea. He's probably just nervous becuase he's a bit scared. Once he gets used to the idea, I'm sure he'll be both thrilled and excited too!

Good luck, either way! Let us know!! ;)

Good morning ladies!!

I got little-to-no sleep, but I was still so excited to wake up this morning and take my temp!! How sad! I was hoping for a spike, but no such luck yet.

Good Morning!

I broke down and bought the Ovusoft software last night. I just really like it! My temp this AM was 98.4 again. Good news is if it goes up and stays up one more time it will be triphasic. That would be awesome.

But NO SXS today. Nothing, maybe a little crampy but that could be my head. No sore BB's or anything... someone tell me it's too early! 7-9 DPO.

I had a scarey thought last night while reading my TCOYF book. DH and I are moving in July, he is starting a new job, with new insurance. I will be leaving my job. Is it possible if we get pregnant this month that his new insurance could deny pregnancy care stating that it was pre-exsisting condition? Or is that protected by FMLA now?

Thanks - I think I just have to know. I'm going to Walgreens down the block and get a test. I'm torn between really wanting to be preg and wanting to reasure DH that our BC didn't fail us! :teeth: I'll let you know what the test reveals...

I am pretty sure pregnancy cannot be considered a pre existing condition.

Qualified - if you are going immediately from one group health insurance plan to another, without a break in coverage. Also, if you go from no coverage to group coverage or from individual coverage to group coverage, thre may be some pre-existing coverage limitations.

This is one busy thread!

Welcome to the new arrivals.

Danea is right about the insurance, but you do have a little wiggle room. I believe it's 63 days. DH and I had a 1 day lapse in insurance coverage when he switched jobs and I was in the middle of my fertility work-up. The new insurance just picked it up and it was a smooth transition. So, even if you have a few days (our COBRA ended on the 30th of one month, but the new insurance didn't start until the 2nd of the next month and we were not about to pay $750. for 1 day!), you'll be fine. I know it's at least 60 days, but I don't remember if it's 63 or 64.

IMarriedGrumpy.....WELL?? I agree with the pp. If it's positive, be excited and tell him. If not, then your plan just moves forward. Seems like it's win-win. :thumbsup2

QOTD: I have a bit of the "mystery" removed with surprising DH with a BFP. He obviously knows the exact day of my blood test - it's 15 days after retrieval. He doesn't go with me though and I'm the one that gets the phone call. So, I do have a chance to surprise him. Last time, I just called him and said, "It's positive." This is because I had started AF - or what I thought was AF - so I was dumbfounded that the darn thing was positive. I didn't know what to do, so I just dialed the phone and blurted it out. Plus, the number was so low that being excited wasn't an option.

Speaking of numbers.....where are two who got the BFPs?!?

Thanks! for the insurance information! We will be making a very smooth transition for the insurance.

QOTD 5/11:
I had high hopes of suprising DH with something special. But I asked him once if he would rather be there or surprise him. He said he wanted to be there and Know right away too. So as much as I would like to surprise him, I don't want to go against his wishes.

I was thinking though, if we got PG this month I would surprise him on his birthday but that's like a week and half after AF is due and I don't think I could wait that long. That wouldn't be fair. Maybe since he won't be there watching the stick with me but wants to know right away I'll get something special for him and tell him that way, but right after! I don't know! :) I wanted to suprise the grandparents too but my mom is my best friend and she wants to know RIGHTAWAY!

Well, it was a BFN. I'm disappointed because I would LOVE to be preg, but I'm thankful that "Plan A" is still in effect and that the BC didn't fail us. I've been a little nervous about BC failing all along - my mom, her sister, and my cousin all have gotten pregnant on the pill, so I've wondered if I take after that end of the family tree.

Of course, I did get a two-pack on the test...if AF doesn't show up next month as scheduled that stick is coming out that morning even if DH is home! :rotfl:

Thanks, everyone, for all your support!

I have been waiting on edge for your post! I hope you get a BFP next month! :goodvibes Now I am waiting to see if DMickey28, Vettechick and beckmrk04 will get BFP! :thumbsup2

I don't have any plans for telling DH when it finally happens. He wants to be there when I do any of the tests, so he'll know right away. We'll have to tell our families pretty quickly, even though I'd rather wait. One of my jobs is a firefighter / paramedic, and I have to tell the chief fairly early since I can't be in any smoky environment. Since my boss (the other one, not the chief :) ), is the world's biggest blabbermouth, I'll have to tell our friends and family soon so they don't hear it on the street. Go figure.

Does anyone have trouble with trying to figure out when you O from these charts? Mine are always all over the place, and if my temperature is high one morning, it's really low the next. After 8 months of charting, I still can't tell when it actually happens.

Jen

Grumpy ~ I am sorry that it was BFN, but at least now you can stick to the Plan!

I just ate lunch and I feel gross. Very nausous! However that could be a SXS or simply the WW Tuna meal I ate. I tend to believe that latter!

Jen, you should have your doctor do a progesterone test to confirm that you are, in fact, ovulating. The only way to tell for sure is to test the progesterone after ovulation. Either that, or you can count back 12-14 days from CD1 to see the approximate time and go with that for future cycles. But, that's presuming a normal LP.

Grumpy, I'm sorry it was BFN. But, hey, hold onto that test for next month!
