No DS yet!! I have my next appointment Wednesday Morning and he will do a U/S and talk induction at that point.

As of last Wednesday I was 80% effaced, 1CM dialated and 0 station. Progress from 70% effaced, Fingertip dialated and -1 Station the Thursday before. I have been walking like crazy so I am hoping for more progress this week. Based on the Bishop Scoring, I feel somewhat comfortable with an induction. I am really scared of going too long ... My Placenta was starting calcify (is that the right word?) two weeks ago and my fluid levels where fine. How do you know what the right balance is between waiting to go natural and induction??? It's such a FINE balance ... I sometimes think the worry at the end is just as bad as the worry in the beginning. You have gone so far and am so fearful that something could go wrong at this stage.

Wish me luck ... maybe all the cleaning this AM will do something ...

GOOD LUCK GIRLS ...

Good luck! I feel for you! I went 4 days past my due date with Kylie and ended up with an induction and then a c-section. That stubborn child just did not want to come out! :sad2:

And believe me, we tried all of the old wives' tales too. We walked till my entire legs were swollen and purple, we had sex pretty much up until 2 days before I was induced, I ate Mexican and Chinese food, etc. I even tried having a heart-to-heart with her telling her how much fun she would have if she would just make an appearance. I told her being in my arms and her daddy's arms was even more cozy than my tummy. She didn't seem to believe me. I honestly tried EVERYTHING and nothing did the trick for us. I hope you end up luckier and all the cleaning today does the trick!

ETA: I really don't know what to tell you about going natural vs. induction. I think it's such a personal choice. I opted for induction because I was 4 days past my due date, had almost NO progress, and was just plain miserable! My legs would turn purple if I just stood up for 5 min. I was having trouble breathing due to dd's size. I just couldnt' handle any more. Dd ended up being 9 lbs 7 oz so I think it's probably good that I opted for the induction, but that isn't the case for everyone. Just do what you feel is right. I do agree that I couldn't have done it without an epidural though. The contractions are really intense and I had back labor, which is just awful. The epidural was like having a piece of Heaven. The cord was wrapped around her neck so I didn't make it past 6 cm without a c-section. That being said, the delivery and recovery actually wasn't too bad and I have no regrets at all.

P.S. I should add that as big as dd was at birth, she's only 22 lbs now and she will be 2 on May 5! She went from chunky to peanut! Never saw that coming!

Gurgi, best of luck on your surgery! i know how excited you must be, i was the same way with my regular lap. it's funny what we go through to have our little miracle. i hope all goes well and that the medicine doesn't send you to the bathroom too much! :grouphug:

Vick - so sorry about AF!

Elaine- so glad your little bean is doing good!

Denise, feeling any better?

well my appt went great today at the OB. i am 12 weeks tomorrow. they did my full blood panel and the lab girl was great, after being poked and prodded for a year on all these fertility treatments and IVF, i am used to needles, but it still hurts. but this girl was great, i hardly felt a thing! we also used the doppler to HEAR the heartbeat, a first for me. took forever to find it, which had me nervous, but knowing how sick i have still been, i knew i was still pregnant. we finally found it- a strong 160. it was amazing to hear! tomorrow is my first trimester scan, so i can't wait to see the little guy!!

feeling okay- actually sunday was the first day in a long time i woke up and felt good. but then woke up this am to dry heaves. lol....hopefully it is going to get better though. i have two more weeks before i go back to work.

Dmickey- good luck- i'll be thinking about you and wishing a healthy delivery!

Vettechick- your little chickadee is just adorable!!!! so glad to see a pic!

Ladies- yes, the robittussin does help. i tried it for a bit in between all my fertility meds or to supplement (since clomid thins your lining). you want your lining nice and thick to support implanatation. another thing i did that helped was acupuncture- it improves circulation, hence improves your lining. there are some great TTC sites that list all the OTC remedies you can try like aspirin, pineapple, herbs, teas etc.

as for caffeine- i stopped it when i started my IVF cycle. it was hard. i drank about 2 cokes a day (coke zero). but i managed and knowing it is better for my pregnancy helps. they say it is safe to have one caffeine drink a day. but i chose not to. I did however have a few dr peppers this weekend when i got a craving, it was the first caffeine i have had in like 3 months! also avoid DIET drinks- the aspartame or fake sweetners is more dangerous than the caffeine.

Gurgi-I really hope your surgury goes great and you get your BFP soon!!!!

DMickey-So sorry your little guy won't come out. I hope you deliver soon :goodvibes

Elaine, Denise, Michelle-I'm sorry you guys are not feeling well still. I really hope it passes soon

Allison-Sorry you had to play in your cute shoes. I really hate when that happens. Better get that BFP soon

As for EWCM and O'ing. Each cycle is different for me. I always get EWCM but sometimes it is 2-3 days before a +OPK and sometimes in it the same day. So I trust the OPK but the EWCM gives me a clue on when to start POAS. So we are heading into our "prime time" I think we will try the every-other-day-thing this time starting tonight. Then I have my blood test next Tuesday and then off to WDW.

Hope we see somemore BFP's soon (including mine ;) ) :wizard:

Hi to all my TTC chicks!! I have a 2 month old, and I am in  !

How has everyone been? I miss out on so much now that I don't have the internet at home (although I am going back to work in 1 1/2 weeks :sad1: , so my lack of internet situation will be rectified shortly). But, OH is it going to rip my heart out to go back. I'm getting around to posting some pictures. I am so bad.

Becky, I swear that I was just thinking about you and wondering about you today! I am glad to hear you are doing well. Vaylie is absolutely beautiful!! I bet you can't believe she's already 2 months old, can you?

Oh, Becky, she looks so sweet! It'll take time to adjust to going back to work, but you'll be fine...and so will Vaylie! Around 7-8 weeks I was dreading going back to work...then around 10 weeks when I finally went back I was ready. DS has always done well at his daycare. Has cried only once when I left him, but is always thrilled to see us when we pick him up. :)

I think my temp jump was just a fluke. It dropped back down this morning to almost my normal 97.0 (at 97.3 today). My O day has varied from your normal CD14/15 to CD20....today is only CD14. So I guess we'll just keep at it! Haven't really seen EWCM yet...not sure if the Mucinex is going to make it less noticable or not. I'm trying not to worry too much about it as I know stress isn't good either. I just keep wondering if I should have also started baby aspirin and grapefruit juice this cycle...kinda late now so I'll just wait it out this time, I guess.

I noticed that CD30 for me falls right on Mother's Day. I'm afraid to test that early though...last month I had a BFP on CD33 and then started bleeding on CD34.

I have a friend who got induced (twice I believe) when she was a week past her due date, and it didn't work! They ended up sending her home after a day in the hospital.

She ended up delivering almost 2 weeks past the due date and the baby was close to 10 pounds.

Becky - Vaylie is beautiful. Sounds like motherhood suits you. Congrats!

Denae

Oh my god Becky - she is beautiful - just perfect and beautiful - I am so happy for you!!

Hugs to all the TTC girls!

Becky, she is absolutely adorable and beautiful!!!! I have been thinking about you so much lately and I am glad you have your angel home.

I was reading on DMickey's other thread, and it sounds like she is in active labor. Hopefully she will be back in a short while to give us pics of her son as well :)

Becky, Vaylie is beautiful!!

I don't know what is going on with me. Not sure if the spotting I had last week was it for the month or just the preshow and I should be expecting more. :confused3 Very weird month!

However I did got stock up yesterday. I've got my robitussin, baby aspirin, grapefruit juice, pineapple (though I already finished those off :rolleyes1 ), and green tea. Now I just need to know when to start taking the robitussin and baby aspirin and how much???

MY DUE DATE CHANGED! :goodvibes US shows I'm due November 30th. I suppose I should change my tickers! :cool1: I heard a heartbeat today...and I couldn't believe it. It was 162BPM and both the tech and my OB said that was perfect. They want to watch out for my fibroids, but Dr. Hood says all should be fine. I can't wait to show DH the pix. There's a little pea in my belly doing well! WOW!
She gave me some ideas on what to do about my morning sickness, my OB had it bad as well. I bought some B6 and Unisom today along with GingerAle! :thumbsup2

I don't know anything about taking all of that, but I really hope the Robitussin isn't with the grapefruit and pineapple! EWW!!

Becky - Vaylie is adorable!

Sheri, no clue about the robitussin (I hate that stuff ;)) but the baby asprin is just one of those a day every day until you come up with a positive pregnancy test. It won't hurt a thing to have them in your system before you find out a nd in reality a lot of women take them for heart issues during pregnancy w/o any troubles.

Denise, glad that all went well! You could change your ticker, but in my opinion the due date is just a guideline anyway ;) I have one that they told me and I will not share but since it was before 7 weeks, they said my next appt would be more accurate (about 8.5 weeks). Plus until I get through my appt I have no intention of sharing that date with anyone. Good luck with all the ideas for morning sickness. Sounds like waht my doc suggests.

Thanks everyone!! I'm glad to see everyone is doing well. And no, I can't believe she's almost 2 months old. Good grief. It has FLOWN by, unlike my pregnancy.

It's funny, though. I have spent so much time focusing on getting pregnant, then on the impending arrival, and now she's here and I feel like I can just relax and enjoy her.

got my Beta results today, and it was 1009!!!! They said that is a great number, so I hve blood drawn again tomorrow to check it agian, and if beta still looks good, Duke schedules an U/S in five weeks! WOOT! I am just sayin "GROW little beans GROW!!! I hope everyone is well and good luck!!!!!!!
