No DS yet!! I have my next appointment Wednesday Morning and he will do a U/S and talk induction at that point.
As of last Wednesday I was 80% effaced, 1CM dialated and 0 station. Progress from 70% effaced, Fingertip dialated and -1 Station the Thursday before. I have been walking like crazy so I am hoping for more progress this week. Based on the Bishop Scoring, I feel somewhat comfortable with an induction. I am really scared of going too long ... My Placenta was starting calcify (is that the right word?) two weeks ago and my fluid levels where fine. How do you know what the right balance is between waiting to go natural and induction??? It's such a FINE balance ... I sometimes think the worry at the end is just as bad as the worry in the beginning. You have gone so far and am so fearful that something could go wrong at this stage.
Wish me luck ... maybe all the cleaning this AM will do something ...
GOOD LUCK GIRLS ...
Good luck! I feel for you! I went 4 days past my due date with Kylie and ended up with an induction and then a c-section. That stubborn child just did not want to come out!

And believe me, we tried all of the old wives' tales too. We walked till my entire legs were swollen and purple, we had sex pretty much up until 2 days before I was induced, I ate Mexican and Chinese food, etc. I even tried having a heart-to-heart with her telling her how much fun she would have if she would just make an appearance. I told her being in my arms and her daddy's arms was even more cozy than my tummy. She didn't seem to believe me. I honestly tried EVERYTHING and nothing did the trick for us. I hope you end up luckier and all the cleaning today does the trick!
ETA: I really don't know what to tell you about going natural vs. induction. I think it's such a personal choice. I opted for induction because I was 4 days past my due date, had almost NO progress, and was just plain miserable! My legs would turn purple if I just stood up for 5 min. I was having trouble breathing due to dd's size. I just couldnt' handle any more. Dd ended up being 9 lbs 7 oz so I think it's probably good that I opted for the induction, but that isn't the case for everyone. Just do what you feel is right. I do agree that I couldn't have done it without an epidural though. The contractions are really intense and I had back labor, which is just awful. The epidural was like having a piece of Heaven. The cord was wrapped around her neck so I didn't make it past 6 cm without a c-section. That being said, the delivery and recovery actually wasn't too bad and I have no regrets at all.
P.S. I should add that as big as dd was at birth, she's only 22 lbs now and she will be 2 on May 5! She went from chunky to peanut! Never saw that coming!
