Any OCTOBER guests received FP+ testing invite?

We are staying at the Poly Oct 13 for 8 days and I am able to get FP+ but there is no parade options. That is really all I wanted FP+ for. Will that option show up eventually?

We received our magic bands today for our Oct 1-8 stay. One night at Pop then package at POR. I did not open the boxes yet. My 11 year old will be so excited when he gets home from school!

I will post pics later today.

I'll be there from Oct 1-9th and my bands are to be delivered anytime today (the tracking number says before 12pm). Hurry up UPS!

I did it! Booked a room only reservation at POR for October 17th the night before we check in to the FW cabins for our package. We were going to stay offsite the night before anyways. I was able to use FP+ for our whole stay. I'm really excited now and the boys loved picking out the colors for their magic bands. Question for those that have been able to book fireworks, parades, lunch at BOG, etc.... when did these open up for you? If at all? No big deal if they don't.... I'm just happy to be part of the fun! I can't complain anymore. Lol. Crossing fingers it all works out the way I hoped!

I think I may have answered my own question, as I found a similar thread and it seems as if no one is ale to select any of those for late October. Oh well!

I can't believe how many people are booking an extra night so they can be included in the testing. Maybe it is a Disney ploy. LOL. Hope it works out for those doing it. I have read a couple posts which state it will deactivate once you checkout of the participating resort. Can't wait to hear from people if if worked or not.

That's a pain! I can't find the thread but I could have sworn someone had complained of the opposite problem at one point - MDE not allowing them to schedule a FP+ because of an ADR. Curiouser and curiouser....

Annoying but easy to work around. Just be sure to have your ADR list out when you are choosing times and be very careful which one you select. (At least for me the "Best Match" selection was generally the one with the most conflicts in it.

I know I'm grasping at straws here, but based on previous months, do you think they will add any more testing resorts for October? I'm desperately hoping for POFQ to be testing for my trip at the end of October....

Has anyone doing a split stay with only the last resort as part of the Magic+ test linked their park tickets in MDE? I'm wondering in that case whether Disney would put your park tickets on your KTTW for the first part of your stay. Kind of tempted to try linking but I'm a little afraid it might cause problems.

Any thoughts?

I would be surprised for them to add a resort to test in October now that we are into September. I only have 7 days left to customize MBs and we arrive October 11, departing the 18th. You would think the test would allow for time for all October arrivals to customize their bands.

On Tuesday when AP discounts came out (no good ones sadly) we switched from POFQ which we LOVE, to Riverside to be able to use FP+ and MBs.

I read that during the test phase you can also get regular fast passes in addition to the fastpass +. How does this work? Wouldn't you need a card to get fast passes in the parks? People who have the bands won't have a card, right?

You also get the KTTW card as backup and you can us ethat to get regular FP.

There are a bunch of posts from people who have done a split stay with no probems. Going from a testing to a non-testing resort.

I wonder about the reverse, where you are going from a non-testing to a testing resort. Are the park tickets you add to MDE associated only with the magic bands or are they treated as more of a general piece of data in your account that can be accessed via magic bands if you happen to have them active....

I saw a post where they said they had issues..
Think you need to go from a testing to a non testing for it to work..

Thanks to all for posting about booking a RO for one night before their package. I just did that and it worked! I am sooooo thrilled! FP+s are selected and bands customized! Woohoo!!! Come on October 13!!!

Just when I think I have WDW under control, they throw FP+ and Magic Bands into the mix! I'm so turned around that I know I've posted some questions on DisBoards about this, but I can't find them!

Anyway, we are DVC members and I have not heard A WORD from DVC about any of this. We are taking a trip in Oct and are staying two nights at AoA (so excited to try it!) and then staying at our DVC resort for three nights. I somehow have access to the Magic Band and FP+. I can't say I've officially been "invited" to try it, but the options appear when I log into MDE. I believe this is only because of our AoA stay. Yet, I apparently can book FP+ for the entire trip. I will be curious to see how the band works. Add to this we have a VOUCHER for a ticket, as opposed to a traditional ticket and I pray we can even get into the parks. A lot of oddities on this trip. I've warned my husband that I've tried to book FP, but don't hold much weight with them because I can't guarantee this will all work. But it is interesting to try it.

I realize what a mammoth project this is. Switching software where I work is a nightmare and that is for a couple dozen people. So I'm trying to be patient and understanding. We will see if I can maintain that composure if nothing works during my five day vacation!

The last couple of times I've spoken to a CM they always mention MDE and I should register and download the app. I always tell them I have registered, but tonight when I told the CM that he explain that I can customize MB and FP+ which was in the testing phase and CBR would be testing soon. I asked him again so I could make sure I understood correctly and he said that they would be testing at additional resorts before the rollout. Of course I could call back in and another CM could tell me something different, but I thought I'd pass along.
