Any OCTOBER guests received FP+ testing invite?

This morning I was fooling around with my FP+ reservations for Epcot. I could not get Soaring anytime after 6 on Oct 21st. I am able to do it the next day. Is this the way of the future, when six weeks out and times are already booked?

Is everyone linking MNSSHP tickets? I haven't done it and thinking I don't really need to. Is there any reason I should?

Mine is linked but haven't determined if there is any advantage as of yet. Maybe after I get to MK.

This has me worried also. Are fast pass+ going to be similar to ADR's that are next to impossible to book except when doing them as soon as our date pops up? I also wonder if FP+ going to end up being like Universal's express pass system where it is only available to resort guests and everyone else has to purchase a ticket like USF's express pass.

We are traveling with another family but their days offset ours by a couple of days and we cannot seem to link our ressie with theirs. As a result, we have slightly different FP+ times. I think I need to call IT first thing in am.

I'm wondering this too - we won't need/want fast passes for the rides but may be advantageous in that we won't need to carry around the MNSSHP vouchers/cards all day. Or will we still need to have those?

I just started playing around with FP+ this morning (thanks to the dis helping me link my AP vouchers) and some times weren't originally available to me but I was able to get them after moving other FP times around. At first I was ticked too but it may have been user error on my part - maybe try moving your other FP's around that day?

Do you have any dining reservations at 6 or 7 that night? I'm not sure if this is the case, but I found that if I had a dining reservation, it blocked out the next 2 hours for fp+. Even the culinary demonstrations for f&w blocked me out 2 hours. I was able to cancel a dining reservation (plaza at 315pm), book a fp+ for 4-5 and then go back and add back the plaza. Obviously this won't work for hard to get/popular reservations. A bit frustrating, since dining reservations rarely take 2 hours. And for the most part in the future, dining will be booked at 180 days while fp+ won't be booked until 60. I guess we'll have to see.

I'd be interested if others were able to book their fp+ with dining reservations and not experience the 2 hour block. It was quite possibly a fluke on my account, as the only 1 I was comfortable testing was the plaza. Not willing to let a BOG go to see if more fp+ times were available during the 2 hours which were unavailable to me.

Another weird time thing that I experienced. We have a party of four. I was trying to move a test track time an hour earlier I think from 1pm start to 12pm start, and when I had all 4 of us chosen, the 12pm was not available. Neither was 1155am. I had no conflicting fp or dining.

Anyway, I decided to check if I could get 12pm for 2 of us, and it was then available. 1155am never showed as an option fir the first 2 of us. Then I used the "copy schedule" option for the other 2. It showed the 12pm time for them, but then on my itinerary page, it gave the second 2 a time of 1155am. Who the heck knows what happened there. When i now click on that fp experience, i have no option to make any changes to the second party of 2. I think the system is flukey. The time should work for us, but who knows if I need to change it once we're there.

We just booked an AoA suite as a surprise for the kids while visiting relatives in FL. We are staying 3 nights the week of Oct 7th. We were given the option to book 3 rides with Fastpass+ for each of the 2 days we will be in the parks. I'm curious to see how it goes.

So I called today to book a room only reservation at POR before our stay at FW. The cm told me that we could order magic bands of our room only one night stay.... But could not use them for anything else other than for our room that night. There had been some talk about linking them and using them for the duration of stay even though we would be switching to a non testing resort... So maybe it won't work after all.

Ok group, I've got a question!

I've been reading a lot about ghost reservations being made at a MB testing resort (usually POP), checking in online, but never physically checking in. Then checking in (both online and physically) at their real resort (albeit a non MB testing one) at the proper time.
This apparently gets these folks MB for their entire stay - including the non MB testing resorts. So far the only glitch some have noted is that although they are able to choose FP+ ahead of time, they are unable to change them on the fly once their real dates start.

So, what have y'all heard about this, and what are your thoughts? We're staying at WL, which doesn't seem to have a chance in heck of getting MB. But from what I'm reading, a dummy/ghost reservation at POP would get me MB for our whole trip. I'm beginning to think that an extra $130 on a ghost reservation would be worth it to get MB for our whole trip.

Please give me your thoughts, comments, complaints, suggestions, reprimands, what have you! Good, bad or indifferent, let me know what you think, please!

:thanks::thanks::thanks:

I've seen this in the last little while........ http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3166035

On another board, someone said that when they linked their MNSSHP tickets, they were able to make FP+ selections from 4-7pm on the date of the party. Did that happen for you when you linked your party tix?

It seems to me that CMs are attempting to discourage this, but that it does work. I have read several cases where it has worked just fine with the exception of the one flaw you already mentioned. I booked a night at Pop which I will actually check into before my stay at CBR begins and I am hoping it works out:) Good luck to you!

Personally, I wouldn't make a ghost reservation for MB just to be a tester. Not than theres anything wrong with it. I just dont think it's worth an extra $150. I switched from Hilton DTD to Pop but I'm actually staying in room.

I have 11:30 lunch ADRs in Epcot and am unable to get fast passes for the rides I want between 11-1:30. However in MK, I have a 4:45 BOG ADR and was offered fastpasses for 5:20-6:20. Of course MDE also like to tell me that my fastpasses are going to conflict with ADR's that I don't have either.

I'm gonna try it. Can always cancel if it doesn't work.
I'm at BWV 10/18-29 and looks like no hope for testing there in that time frame.

Has anyone been able to FP+ wishes if you are 30 days or less out? It's still not showing up for me and I'm 29 day out.

When I was selecting my FP+ times, it also showed me conflicting dining schedules even for times I didn't have any meals reserved. Probably just the system being buggy.

I heard that you'll be able to make FP+ resies but that they'll expire when your resie at the testing resort expires. So, if you book POP for just 10/18 and make FP+ all through 10/29, they will not be good after 10/19 and will disappear...from what I heard.

Would love to get a report from someone who has done this - split stay at non-testing resort.
