Well, I'm going back! Just booked to arrive Saturday.
1st stay was 2 weeks after they opened - the music got stuck on HIGH volume, the speaker for the disco music was right outside my room, and after 48 hours of all disco, all the time, I was a mess! They moved me to CBR since they couldn't figure out how to turn the music off. (Problem now solved)
2nd stay was about 4 months later - this time an 'alarm' kept me awake for two nights straight - beep beep, beep beep, beep beep from 11pm until 5am nonstop. Once again I thought that I would go crazy! Security couldn't figure it out either - it sounded like the battery was dying on a smoke detector, or some other electronic sound, from outside my room. Finally the night manager came up and told us that it was a whippoorwill in mating!!!
They moved me right away lakeside, in a building 1/2 empty, and I had blissful peace and quiet. I do like the rooms - for a value resort, they are very smartly designed, with extra hooks etc that the other values don't have. And the decor is a little less like a 9 year old boy's room.....
I also like their food court for items such as hard boiled eggs, hummus, and various veggie dips. Much better than POR food court.
So I'll be back in a few days, and I plan to ask for a room somewhere far away from anywhere, so that I can enjoy the peace and quiet of one of the rooms near the lake......
