I've been on Jenny Craig for a while now and have lost almost 40#s with plenty more to go! I'm looking forward to being a lot smaller by the time I go to WDW (MK) and on my DCL trip in February 2012!

:dance3:

I have been on Jenny Craig and lost about 30 pounds :cool1:, However, I have not had too much luck lately. Having lost the 30 pounds I feel great, and I am not nearly as careful as I was when I started. I just got back from meeting with my consultant and I gained 1.5lbs. But, its a new week and I am giving it my all this week. I want to lose another 15 pounds and I have a big vacation coming up over the summer.

I was up about 1.5 last week, so am hoping when I go tomorrow that I will be down that plus some would be nice. It has been a very slow process for me, but I also am not always that careful. I've done much better going back to the planned menus and choosing full days from them to do each week.

It will be better if I can get off my butt and exercise some more too! :)

How much are you guys spending on Jenny Craig per month? I really ewant to try it. I am currently on a crazy work schedule. I commute 1.5 hours each way to work and the way home is my problem. I am usually tired and starving and this is where I blow my day.

Is there any JC snack that can be eaten in the car? ANy tips or anything on getting started? I think I might give it a shot.

I spend approximately $75 a week on food which is a lot to me but worth it when I see the weight coming off. It will get less as I hit the 1/2 way mark and start doing some meals on my own too.

There are a lot of JC snacks that could be eaten in the car. They have snack bars, cookies, chips.

Getting started I would say, jump in all the way. Eat on plan 24/7. Be open to try all the food once unless you are allergic. I've found some of the food to be my favorites that just reading about I wouldn't have tried. If there is something that you don't like, go on JC's message boards and see what others are saying that they do to change it up.

Also, be completely honest with your consultant.

I'm another Jenny Craig loser. :) I've lost just shy of 60 pounds between JC food and exercise, and I'm training for a 5K in October and the Disney half marathon in January 2012. Lately I've been doing 5 planned menu days and 2 days on my own, trying to transition into my own food and trying to save a bit of money.

Just started JC about a week and half okay and was down 7 lbs. at my first weigh in. I did it about 5 years ago and had success, but dropped out because of the expense. I have a better paying job now and a schedule which allows me to better follow the plan.

Right now, following the plan as written, I am spending about $140 a week on food but, as a PP mentioned, it gets less expensive as you progress. I'm pretty frugal so that fact that it's fairly expensive right now is actually a motivator for me...and being able to save money as I move forward will also keep me going. :)

I am hoping to lose 80 lbs. total -- 32 by our trip in Sept. My 3 y/o DS weighs 32 lbs. and I know how difficult it is to carry him -- can't wait to see how much better I feel when I have dropped that amount!

ETA: YEAH for all of you!! It takes commitment to set a goal and stick to your plan -- you guys are awesome!

Very good point about the expense of the food being a big motivator - both to stick to the plan and to know that past a certain point, you start to transition to other food and away from the more expensive JC items. Of course, I miss just popping a freezer item into the microwave and adding veggies when it comes time to plan and prepare a meal. :lmao:

Good luck with your program and good luck to all of us!! :cheer2:

Hey all! I just wanted to share that as of my last WI I was down 21"!!!

And I'm officially below the required weight for zip-lining in Hawaii in August, though I don't think I'm going to be able to do it for other reasons. Now my goal is 16lbs by August 13th when we leave so I will be 10lbs below the weight for the helicopter tour (otherwise I have to pay for 2 seats :scared1:).

I need to get my but in gear and do better consistantly. I have so many ups and downs it rediculus!

Keep up the great work everyone and keep checking in as it helps motivate everyone so much! :cheer2:

Congratulations on the weight loss! I hope you'll meet your other goals in time to fully enjoy the helicopter tour - you can do it!! :cheer2:

At weigh in yesterday I was down 2lbs!!! That means I only have 14lbs to go until my Hawaii goal! I've got 73 days to get there and know I can do it!!!

:yay::dance3::yay:

Congratulations!!! You can definitely meet that goal! :yay::cheer2:

Yesterday was my weigh-in too, and since mid-August 2010, I've lost 61.4 pounds and 27.5 inches. It doesn't seem real. :)

Hi All!
I am so happy I found you guys :)

I just joined on Tuesday. Tomorrow is my first week weigh-in!
So far its going pretty well (I think), its taken me awhile to adjust to less food :) and no more daily Mochas. But I am getting it.

I love hearing about how others have/are doing on Jenny! Have any of you vacationed on Jenny? I have about 2 months til our summer trip (not Disney). And next week is my birthday, so I am not sure how that will effect me.
My family is big on cake.

Congrats to you guys! Its soo exciting. I can't wait to see the scale going down :cool1:

Congratulations on joining Jenny Craig! I hope your weigh-in went well. Whatever the case, the JC counselors are wonderful about helping with adjusting to less food (add veggies, add "free" foods, plenty of hydration) and about planning for events and potential hazards.

We go to WDW pretty often, including since I joined Jenny. We also did our first Disney cruise in late February/early March and I lost weight! The key factors for me with a Disney trip (and really anything involving food) are planning ahead. Look at the menus on www.allearsnet.com and make meal plans before you leave on your trip. If you need additional help planning without feeling punished, bring the menus to one of your weigh-ins and get help planning ahead. I pick a lot of restaurants based on their healthy options available, and I've had a lot of success with entree salads (dressing on the side) at Disney. That way, you get plenty of veggies, sometimes fruits, and you can limit the intake of fats, proteins and starches. They have lots of good, interesting salads available if you search ahead of time. I frequently bring breakfast with us, just to be sure I don't end up with a calorie killer breakfast picked up in a hurry on the way to the parks.

Another thing that works for me is making sure I have some great Jenny snacks with me - when the smell of popcorn is driving me crazy or everyone is eating ice cream cones or cookies or cupcakes, I have Jenny popcorn or cheese curls or keep the Jenny toffee cookies handy. With the extreme heat in Florida, you do have to watch items that melt easily, but having "safe" treats handy helps with the cravings or the feeling of being punished.

Of course, you do a LOT of walking at Disney, so it helps when you stay really active and put a bunch of mileage on your feet during the trip. If you end up with a little more calorie intake than you would have normally, add to your activity level. :)

Good luck with your birthday celebrating! A few options you might try are asking your Jenny counselor what an appropriate serving of cake would be, or you could have one of the Jenny cakes or cheesecakes ready and your family can have cake while you eat your Jenny treat. If your family is insisting that you have some of your birthday cake, you and your Jenny counselor can explore some cake options that might pack a little smaller punch in the fat and calorie department. Whatever you're facing, folks at Jenny are usually extremely helpful in helping you figure out the best options and strategies, and it's all about planning ahead.

I've lost 60 pounds since mid-August of 2010, and I've been at Disney more times than I can count during that period. It's all about planning and taking advantage of the support team you have available. You can do it! :cheer2:

Thanks NitroStitch.
I am down 7 lbs for my first week! I am very happy with that.
My JCC and I worked out a plan for my birthday that I am happy with too, so it was a good appointment :thumbsup2

Your tips for doing Jenny at WDW are great. We are doing a different vac. this summer, but we are almost at the 180 day mark for a holiday WDW trip and love the entree salad w/out dressing idea.
We typically plan all our meals out (love reading the menus online) but I can see already how my food needs are going to be changed by then.

Congrats on your 60lb loss. That is awesome :cool1:

Thanks! And congratulations on your 7 pound loss on your first week! Aren't the JCC's wonderful?! I was totally stressed about traveling while starting on Jenny, but my JCC helped me plan ahead, and things have gone really well.

We used to do big plans and charts to figure out if the dining plan was worth it for us on any given trip. Now that I'm eating far less food and more healthy, we don't need that part of planning anymore. :rotfl2:
