for $24 a night showing a 2 star in WDW area? I am trying to put together a last minute trip for this weekend and I would love to save the money but hate to stcuk in a very bad place. Any one?

what were the specifics of the hotel?

Looks like it could be the Travel Lodge or Park Inn & suites. Try & match the amenities given by Hotwire to the hotel.

Thanks, I went ahead and booked it before I got a response. It was the Travelodge. I can deal with that, every review I have read says that it was clean, just older. I can deal with that! LOL Esp 5 nights at $140 for a last minute trip.

Great deal! have fun:sunny:

FYI, in the future, if you want to fiqure out the hotel, try the hotel and car option and the hotel name will show up, check out the star rating or the amentities and then compare them to the just hotel list and you should be able to figure out which hotel is the one offered.

MissSwish--the packages offered for "car/hotel" are not necessarily the same as just the "hotels" only that come up. You could get a general idea by looking at the icons, but I'm afraid that could be misleading as well. Betterbidding.com has a fairly accurate list of hotels, and they will help you try to figure out which hotel if you post your question there. Also Hotwire does change it's hotel inventory quite frequently, so the hotel you find one day doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be offered in the future.

I tried the car/hotel pkg and was certain it was the Crowne Plaza on International Drive. I did this search over several weeks, and also consulted better bidding. Surprise, when I booked it thru Hotwire--hotel only no car, it was the Rosen Center near the convention center. For 69/night, it was great. I would of preferred the Crowne Plaza but the rooms were comfortable, we had 2 rooms on the 9th floor overlooking the pool. This was the Clarion at one time. Its right across from FAO Schwartz. By accident we left our safe unlocked when we went to the parks. I didn't realize it until we were eating lunch and I asked my husband if he had the safe key. He said, no, I never went in it today. All I could think of was my purse, money and credit cards. Much later that night when we returned to the room, I opened the safe and nothing was touched. Needless to say the housekeeper got an extra tip!! You read about these vacation horror stories, and I didn't want to be one of them.
