Welcome to the dis, dbl T.
I almost brought that up myself.Don't you already refer to someone as Dbl T, Dan?![]()
Around here they are closing locations that don't have drive thrus because they want to sell coffee, not have people linger. That certainly is different from their roots. The Starbucks closest to me does not have a drive thru, but the owner of the shopping center they are in allows classic car buffs to gather on Sunday mornings in the parking lot from 7 am to 10 am. Nothing like 100 classic car owners, and a few hundred classic car buffs dropping by for coffee on a Sunday morning. That is apparently what has spared that location from closing.F
They have a new CEO who is vowing to bring back the original coffeehouse ambiance.

The person at Starbucks told me I had to buy one of the holiday drinks. I guess my bad day wore on my face and I looked just pathetic enough when I said Oh ok… they gave me one with my drink order anyway. It made me smile.
It's pretty amazing what people will come here to talk about. You joined a Disney forum to talk about Starbucks?
Their winter drinks are out now. I like the chestnut praline latte.
I’m not a coffee or tea girl. Though I did try the Apple Crisp Chai Latte and thought it was pretty good. Too rich for me to drink an entire one so I normally split it with my Mom.I don't drink coffee but love tea particularly chai lattes. I usually go through the drive-thru but it can be nice to relax inside.
I haven't tried it yet but stick to regular chai latte and ask for nonfat. I will try that when I check out the apple version too.I’m not a coffee or tea girl. That's actually a new policy I implemented whenever I'm at Disney. When it comes to coffee... only Joffrey's or a local coffee shop will do.I pretty much avoid Starbucks as much as possible - but it gets harder and harder when I travel.
At Universal its really the only option for me - I tried the Today Cafe and the bakery by the SF area - and its not that good - especially for black ice coffee.
My last trip to Portugal (Porto) it seemed like it was really the only option - which is sad.
My trip before that two years ago there were plenty of decent places to get a coffee - this time it seemed like there was only Starbucks.
Yeah - I knew where I could go to get coffee - but it was out of the way.
I was able to avoid Starbucks as I don't want to contribute to the problem - but I feel its like the Borg and its inevitable.
