Any helpful tips for switching from PC to MAC?

So our new iMac will be arriving this afternoon...

Anyone made the switch that can offer any helpful tips for transfering files over from the PC, getting setup on the Mac, installing and running VMWare Fusion and Win XP to run XP in parallel on OSX? It's slightly scary making the jump even if you are pretty computer savy.

The MAC store will do it for you now! And trust me it's easier to let them do it!

I was only able to transfer over a few things before wanting to switch back to my PC. But I can assure you one year later that I love my IMac. It's like learning a new language but really it is a more natural language.

I didn't install XP on this system as I didn't want to bother. But running them parallel is the easiest way to go

My suggestion though is to let the Apple store transfer your files they do it for free now!

My suggestion though is to let the Apple store transfer your files they do it for free now!

If you buy the Mac from the store they will do it, but ours is coming from the website (refurb) and I don't think they cover that at the local stores - not for free, anyway. I'll check into it, though.
