Any guests arriving November 1 to 30 receive FP+ testing invites?

Today is 60 days out for our room only reservation at ASMO. We booked 1 night before we check into a WH Townhouse. I am able to make FP+ reservations, but only for the day of our check in and out. I knew this was a possibility, but I am a bit disappointed since I have seen many others be able to do the same thing and/or use their MBs to book even if they don't have a resort reservation for their current vacation.
I will keep checking, but honestly if it doesn't change I don't think that I will keep the reservation. I can get a much nicer non-Disney hotel for that night for about $60 less.

Aren't the Magic Bands for resort guests only? I thought that Disney was following Universal's lead and giving resort guests a perk, in Disney's case by allowing them to prebook some of their FastPasses? Or are Magic Bands replacing tickets?

Right? We ended up booking things really as placeholders I guess in the (probably irrational) fear that things would book out. I have a feeling we will do a lot of changing (hopefully) on the fly or the night before.

I have a few FP+ as "placeholders" too--especially as I'm praying that the Electrical Parade and Wishes show up as FP+ options later. So far they are not (and I know it's possible they may never) for Saturday 11/16, which is our last night. We are not going to the Christmas party and it's our only shot to see them, as we have plans the other 2 nights MK doesn't have the party (which we'll keep).

I made all my FP+ reservations this morning!

There were some things missing that I wanted like Disney Jr at HS and the Character Spot at Epcot. I guess maybe because the show schedules aren't set yet?

I was able to make FP reservations for 8 days total so we are going to the parks on arrival and departure day which is different for us.

I have a few FP+ as "placeholders" too--especially as I'm praying that the Electrical Parade and Wishes show up as FP+ options later. So far they are not (and I know it's possible they may never) for Saturday 11/16, which is our last night. We are not going to the Christmas party and it's our only shot to see them, as we have plans the other 2 nights MK doesn't have the party (which we'll keep).

Maybe they won't be offering it for the Electrical Parade or Wishes in MK that day? Or maybe they aren't offering it to ME? No matter what, we'll see the parade that night--I just would love a designed area to view them.

I logged in to check our FP+ selections and found they had all been changed. I was shocked. I thought everything had been resolved and we were on our way. Somehow our son who has a valid PAP that was definitely linked to him just a few days ago now has no valid admission ticket. However when I tried to link it I was told it was already linked. I started checking around and found that my DH has two PAPs linked to his name now. And DH has four magicband orders in his profile and our son has none. I just customized all of our bands last thursday but somehow they are all back to the color grey now. Both DS and DH have been removed from all of the FP+ selections. I am so upset at this point. This whole MDE thing has been a nightmare. DH called them right away and of course they have no idea how this happened. They are going to work on it and will email within 48 hours. Last time they said that it was almost three weeks before the problem was solved. Our bands are suppose to ship on october 4th. Better keep checking your FP selections folks to make sure they haven't somehow changed or disappeared. Has this happened to anyone else?

Chances are if wishes or MESP becomes available for Nov it won't be that night. They are not available on party nights.

Disney has said that MB & FP+ will be available to offsite guests as well, however, there may be a charge to purchase MBs if you are an offsite only guest. People with MBs from previous visits have had success using the bands on return visits as they can link the tickets to them through MDE.

I hear ya loud and clear. Last friday DH was on the phone with IT for well over an hour. The CM was so helpful and we really thought all of the issues were resolved. Our trip is in five weeks and I'm terrified of what else can happen with our account between now and then. What if I hadn't logged on to check yesterday? We could have gotten to the "world" thinking all was okay and would have found out our son couldn't get into any parks because he doesn't have a ticket? This is getting beyond ridiculous.

Have you tried linking them through the app? If they are paper tickets you can take a pic and scan them.

For those that do not follow Touring Plan's tweets, this just came out:

"Beginning today MyMagic+ is officially rolling out in waves across Walt Disney World Resorts. All guests checking in to resorts on or after the dates listed below will receive MagicBands and have access to the FASTPASS+ System. Every Monday for the next 4 weeks new resorts will be added. Then when Grand Floridian Villas open on October 23, 2013 all resorts will be fully online with the program. The program will still be considered “testing” for now, think of it as a sort of “soft opening.” The official start date for MyMagic+ is December 1, 2013.

For arrivals on or after:

September 30, 2013: Bay Lake Tower, Kidani Village, Port Orleans French Quarter, Grand Floridian, and All Star Movies.

October 7, 2013: All Star Sports, Boardwalk Inn, Boardwalk Villas, and Caribbean Beach Resort.

I decided NOT to book the Disney Junior show. I'm fairly confident we'll get in (there are several times) standby either our first night there or in the morning on our 2nd time (AM EMH).

I was just going to post and ask when will OKW be invited. I'm at BWV in Nov. and had my bands for almost a week, but family that is staying at OKW is able to do their fastpass+ but no bands yet. Thanks for the info BwoZoo22. Now I can let them know when to start looking for them.

When I was there in September, there was no special seating for FP+. It was just a separate line. I think FP+ is not needed for Disney Jr.
