Any guests arriving November 1 to 30 receive FP+ testing invites?

I just called IT and they got a bit upset with me. They stated that people are suppose to wait until they are 28 days out and receive an invitation before doing anything. He said I should not have made any FP selections until we get the bands. And not to customize them unless we have an invitation. I don't get this at all. I tried explaining my original problem with the online checking and our rooms not all being there and he said I'm looking in the wrong place. What?? I'm not so stupid that I can't read. I have no idea what to do now. Wait the 10 days or call and hopefully talk to someone else?

Sounds just like the nasty cm I had. He's telling me my fast pass plus wont work its a fluke in the system and there's NO MAGIC BANDS in nov ......the next morning I had 2 sets waiting or me. Nasty CM
 
I logged in about an hour ago and got the popup to make FP+ selections :woohoo: I got through about 3 days and now the page won't load :badpc: Oh well, it will be nice to see if the ones I picked stick. We still have 58 days until we leave and I haven't done the online check in yet. I was really surprised and excited about making FP+ selections.
 
Those are either a RFID KTTW card from a previous stay or your RFID ticket/pass (if linked). They will stay and your MagicBand will there also.

Thank you very much. :) The card has been there for months. We booked a bounce back in February and that must be what the card is from. We just bought tickets today, so I know that it isn't from the tickets.

Just a little update on my post yesterday. As of today we are 65 days out (11/30 check-in) and "Manage MagicBands" was changed to "Personalize". Was able to personalize my band and DH's band without any issues. Best of luck, everyone!!

I have six day parkhoppers and will be adding a day at some point when I'm there. I was able to do my fp+ ress for 11/11-11/17 but need to do early ticket pickup on 11/10 but I'm a little bit worried that when I enter mk on 11/10 that night it might wipe out my fp selections for the end of my trip. Hoping for the best.

Have you heard of anyone being successful in picking up tickets early with Magicbands? We are going to be there the exact same dates as you and have a RO ressie for 11/9-11/10--we have 2 sets of Magicbands. I wanted to pick up the tickets the morning of the 10th and then add an extra day for the last day of the trip.
 
I bet if you check it in the morning, it will pop up. It just takes some time. I did all my FP's then went back and mb's were available.

You were right! Although I still had to contact technical support because I was able to customize everyone's magic band in my party, except mine!! They were able to fix it though~

I got the "We're Sorry" message also. I called Disney Website Help and the DME phone number and the girl I spoke to did not know what that meant. She thinks I just not loaded in the system yet, but she said to wait and keep trying. Easy for her to say "Wait"!!! Does she not know how we Disney finatics are???? :confused3

My "Customize Magic Bands" finally showed up, but I need to find out how my daughter wants hers to look like first. My dates are not until 11/30 - 12/12. Getting very excited :cheer2:

WHAT?!?!?!?!? This CM has no idea what he is talking about..

The bands are sent out at the 31-30 day mark..
On mine there is a note that says " can make changes until * ship date*"<<<<<<< 30 days prior to my trip.
If you wait you may not be able to customize at ALL!

I'd call back and try to get someone different.. DON'T WAIT!

Same thing happened to me yesterday. Got lectured by a really crappy CM about how I didn't get an invitation. I called a total of 3 times and got 3 totally different responses each time. The 3rd time the CM resolved our issue

If I go on MY ACCOUNT, and it says click here to customize bands..
That should be good enough... Why would I need to wait for an invitation?!?!?

Being able to click on it, means its open to me... What is this CM problem? :confused3:

You did the right thing....... Just hang up and call back...
 
I stated before but that we are arriving Nov 6th and we have everything squared away with FP+ and MagicBands ordered. FP+ was available to us on Tuesday night and MagicBands became available yesterday morning.. I was thrilled!

My friend and his family are arriving the same day as us, staying at OKW on points and they are only able to do FP+... any guess on why they aren't able to personalize Magicbands yet? I hope they will get to.

My Mom and Stepdad are arriving Nov 18th and they are staying at WL and I made all of their FP+ for them, but they also can't order MagicBands. Hmmm

I don't know if someone has answered your questions yet, but I had similar problems until I checked in online via mydisneyreservation.com

After checking in through that site, then going back to My Disney Experience and logging in I was able to personalize the magic bands.

I too am staying at OKW on points during the middle of November. I have a total of 8 reservations and I had to individually check them all in on mydisneyreservation.com to order their magic bands. I control all of their accounts and have linked all their reservations on My Disney Experience.

I know some are saying they can personalize magic bands without checking in online, but this was not my experience and may be because I have a DVC reservation.

When I go into MDE it says the tickets are activated, there is an option to deactivate.

Has anyone tried deactivating their tickets and then re-activating them and have them show up under reservations?

This not being linked when they are linked half way as it seems and not being able to access FP+ or FP for BOG is so frustrateing

That was on my account too. You know those two day tickets I can't load on to MDE? They were ALREADY there. They are on KTTW cards from February. But I thought it was an error because I didn't load them. So I went and added my MVMCP tickets (before I knew I shouldn't do that) and they disappeared:worried:.
I called IT to sort it out and it's been two weeks with no resolution. I wonder if I deactivate the MVMCP if it will put my 2 day tickets back?!?

One one hand, it might screw it up worse, on the other hand, it's already so screwed up I think we've hit the saturation point so why not?:rolleyes2

Since we don't check in until Nov 30tth I'm not going mess with anything yet. I'm hoping that it all magically corrects itself. If it is still not letting me customize bands by the middle of Oct, then I will call Disney.
 
We check into Fort Wilderness Nov 30 - Dec 6 (65 days out)... have FL Annual Passes linked.. all family members are linked... have FW reservation linked as well as other dining res...

On my iphone app... it says I have MB and shows 2 for each of us?

On computer using diff types of browsers... does not show MB options and can't do FP+ selections.

I have noticed others with same check in date are able to do the MB... not sure what else to try? Any thoughts?
 
Two different reservations here both 11/6 and 11/12 allowed me to chose bands in the browser but not on the iPad application. Bummer, can't choose fp since we need to get new annual passes the day we get there
 
For those who have had a single day blocked out and unable to select for FP (for us Wed 11/13), try the mobile app, it should still work.

Anyone in Nov get bonus MK FP? Old rumor said have to pick 2 options that don't offer paper FP (ie wishes and MSEP)
