…as to when they will post park hours for December? I’m trying to decide if I want to add Sunday, Dec 19 to our reservation (specifically for Epcot), but I don’t want to do that if the park is going to close at 7:00 or 8:00pm. I just get nervous with this whole park reservation thing. I’m afraid parks will fill up before they even announce hours.
I’m also wondering if we do add that Sunday, but then Disney adds that day as a Christmas After Hours at MK, and we want to do that instead; are we able to change our park reservation from a 3-day to a 2-day? I know we can add days at any time, but can we shorten our reservation (and get our money back)?

You can cancel and rebook the park reservations at any time as long as there is availability.
If you are asking about tickets, if they are part of a package, you can shorten them at any point before they are used. Within 30 days of check in, there may or may not be a $50 change fee. If you have purchased tickets separately, you do not receive a refund for dropping days.

There is a post on the main Theme Parks Attractions board called Park Hours. (Yellow thread 'stuck' to the top of the board). It will give you an idea of when park hours are being posted.

I think you mean "tickets" and not "park reservations." No, generally speaking you cannot downgrade from a 3-day ticket to a 2-day ticket with refund. As PP mentions, if your tickets are part of a package reservation (room + tickets) you may be able to change the number of days without penalty more than 30 days prior to arrival. Tickets purchased separately are non-refundable.

Park reservations are separate from tickets. Park reservations can be changed/added/canceled at no cost as long as you have valid ticket media.

Ah yes…I did mean tickets! We currently have 2-day park hopper tickets. Not staying onsite or anything like that. I think I’ll just sit for a few weeks, at least until the Christmas After Hours dates are released. Thanks for clarifying!
