Any genealogy experts? I just found out that my great grandmother's surname was Disney!!

Her name was Maria Disney-- m. James Conway, her father was Thomas Disney b. 1834 in Spain. His father was Edward Disney b. circa 1776-1834 d. 1852 in Boston. According to Geni.com, the tree stops there. No real birthdate just a 58 year estimate. No parents listed.

Disney is not a common name, so I am hoping it is a small tree and that my family's branch is on the same tree as Walt or Roy.....that would be so cool!

Walt Disney's family was from France, so likely not the same branch if your relatives were from Spain.

I have Disneys in my family tree, and to date there's no connection to Walt's family. I wish! ;-)

It is possible. They are neighbouring countries. My Mom is from Spain and our family has roots in France and Belgium.
