I got rid of AOL using the info from this recent thread here. Canceling AOL But AOL is still keeping my email accounts open so people can send emails to them. From what people have told me, if I log back into AOL, either accidently or on purpose, AOL will start charging me again. (Which is why they won't cancel my email account.
)
I've notified people of my email address change, but many of them didn't mark it in their email address books as I told them to. Instead, they later call me & say they don't have my new email address & have sent an email to my OLD AOL addy.
Since they aren't getting that MAILER-DAEMON bounce back announcement that their emails aren't going through, they are assuming it's okay to keep sending to my old email addy & that I have been reading them.
Isn't there some email forwarding sites that will simply intercept &forward my emails from AOL before it gets to my AOL inbox?
