They were mostly 120v 20amp twist locks and some 220v twist locks. Didn't see any normal 15a plugs. I believe they made most of those out of zip cord and vampire plugs I think.

The contract was not renewed but it wasn't just cancelled either. Disney knew that area would be used for other things so that is why they ended the lights.
Spectromagic was literally thrown away. With most of the lighting frames given back to the Osborne family I think it's safe to say they won't be thrown away.

When I say going the way of Spectromagic, I mean leaving to never come back. I have never seen the Osborne Lights and hope at some point they come back to see them, but I'm afraid Disney may never bring it back.

Unfortunately I don't think they will ever come back at least in the form that they were. Sure Disney might do another light display but I don't think it will be anything like Osborne. I was lucky and got to see them for the first and last time this year.

That is very sad. I wish that I could have seen them. I was lucky enough to get to ride Horizons, but I was very little. I was sad I never really got to experience it and now I will most likely miss the lights.
Last I had heard the rumor was they were moving to Epcot around the beginning of WS around that area. But it wasn't this year. 2017 probably the earliest.
You may see something produced with those lights..... I hope they do something with them. A show at Epcot would be cool. I don't really count on it though.
They're not going to pay for any holiday installations that don't generate a specific, new revenue source or at least drive attendance...and since its so crowded there anyway - that is not the case.
The ship on those types of things have sailed.
A hard ticketed $150 "holidays in nato" at Epcot? Now we're in the ballpark...
I agree, I think that would be a great future plan.
I took a second trip last December just to see them one more time -- that was one of my favorite parts of November/December trips to Disney, the Osborne Lights.
