I wish I was a CM to pick up those cords. I could use those for my display lol.The sound equipment and heavy duty extension cords have been for sale at the cast member surplus site lately. They are not coming back.
They were mostly 120v 20amp twist locks and some 220v twist locks. Didn't see any normal 15a plugs. I believe they made most of those out of zip cord and vampire plugs I think.I wish I was a CM to pick up those cords. I could use those for my display lol.
I figured as much. I don't use vampire plugs. They were mostly 120v 20amp twist locks and some 220v twist locks. Didn't see any normal 15a plugs. I believe they made most of those out of zip cord and vampire plugs I think.

I just never have converted to that for my light display.I used to and still do around the house for everything. Quick and easy.
The contract was not renewed but it wasn't just cancelled either. Disney knew that area would be used for other things so that is why they ended the lights.
Spectromagic was literally thrown away. With most of the lighting frames given back to the Osborne family I think it's safe to say they won't be thrown away. That makes sense. I hope it does not go the way of Spectromagic

Unfortunately I don't think they will ever come back at least in the form that they were. Sure Disney might do another light display but I don't think it will be anything like Osborne. I was lucky and got to see them for the first and last time this year. When I say going the way of Spectromagic, I mean leaving to never come back. I have never seen the Osborne Lights and hope at some point they come back to see them, but I'm afraid Disney may never bring it back.

I refuse to take part unless I get a cupcake.![]()
Maybe they will bring back the "Lights of Winter" in Epcot. I remember those from years ago.Last I had heard the rumor was they were moving to Epcot around the beginning of WS around that area. But it wasn't this year. 2017 probably the earliest.

This has been a rumor without any support for ever. Other variations have said Epcot. They're gone.I heard they were moving to Disney Springs.
They would look good at EPCOT.
I agree, I think that would be a great future plan.
I took a second trip last December just to see them one more time -- that was one of my favorite parts of November/December trips to Disney, the Osborne Lights.
