Hi....My father-in-law is hosting eleven of us on a trip to WDW the last week in February.

We will be staying at his time-share resort in Kissimmee and buying park tickets (non-park hopper base ticket with no water parks or other frills) sometime before we go.

Can someone tell me if there is any price break to buy the tickets in the year 2011 for use in 2012? And, should I simply call the Disney travel line and buy them to have them mailed to his house...or can we wait and buy them in the Orlando area?

I've always stayed in a Disney resort and bought a vacation package...tix were on our room card! Not sure the smartest way to get tickets-only...

Thank you!

For eleven people I would suggest Undercover Tourist or Maple Leaf Tickets. They are both authorized resellers and you can get about a 5% discount from gate buy purchasing from them. For example, 11 five day base tickets, including tax, would be about $2,940 at the gate, while through UCT it would be $2,783 including tax and shipping.

Cheshire's advice, Disney has been raising ticket prices at a steady clip each year. It had been around the beginning of June but they moved it earlier in the summer last year. Given that holding that money in a savings account will pay, in most cases, maybe 1%, buying tickets before a price increase can save money.

We have used Undercover Tourist a few times and have been happy with their service. They have an additional, small savings through a link in the Mousesavers.com monthly newsletter.
