We are going to arrive about noon at the airport on the first day and don't want to go to the parks at US/WDW/SW that day. Are any of the attractions on International Drive worth doing (to include putt-putt - which ones) in the afternoon/evening?

It may not exactly qualify as an attraction, but we enjoy walking around Pointe Orlando. That is an outdoor shopping center near the convention center. It has some nice shops, restaurants and a movie theater. It is also adjacent to Wonderworks science center and not far from Ripley's museum.

At the other end of I-drive, we go to Belz factory outlet to visit the 2 Disney outlet stores.

Also, we haven't tried this yet but drove past it last trip. There is a huge go-kart track, multi-level, on the main section of I-drive. We're planning on checking it out next time.

I don't know if you have young children, but mine always enjoy an afternoon at FunSpot. It is near the end of I-Drive a bit before the Belz Outlet Mall and they have an arcade, carnival type rides and go-carts. You can get an all-day wristband for about $16 and several of the discount books that are found everywhere have a coupon for about $2 off. My kids love it!

there is a minature golf right near the mercardo Plaza or to be more exact next to the double tree Castle!
It is one of the Pirate themed ones!

The is the Titanic exhibit in the Mercado and out in front is the Hard Rock Vault!
