Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

ugggh, i havent been on in awhile here (with school starting up again) BUT, i too went on the expo strike. the first two month, DBF and i did so well, we save up over half of what we need for a 9 day disney vacation. but this $2 crap isnt cutting it for me. We're just hoping that they will boost up the promotion again. i'm afraid we will do reviews, get only $2 for them, and then a couple months from now they go back up and we could have had a lot more money. we're planning on going at the end of may, so there's plently of time. i must say we've been really disappointed with expo the last two months though

I agree, in fact, we are on Expo strike here as well. I really wouldnt mind the 2 and 5 dollars if they raised the cap to 100 again, although for 2 its really not worth the time. I just have not motivation to do it this month. Between me and DH we made 1500 for the month of August and then in September wiht all the rejections we made 400 between us. Now dont get me wrong..we are tickled to get that 400 and if I could do that every month it would be ok, but its just been frustrating with how theyve been rejecting things and such. My DD13 has been asking to do some this month and I did tell her that if she wanted to do some and make the money then im ok with that, but as far as me and DH we are through for now unless a better promotion comes up.

I agree that expo is speeding their approval process up this mth. I only have (2) videos left to be approved for Sept. This time last mth I had the majority of my
videos still pending. I have also had a bunch of my OCT videos already approved as well. Maybe expo hired additional staff?

Wouldn't that be the dream job?

It seems that most of the reviews on Expo are for large places like Disney. I don't want to wast my time doing a bunch of reviews that they are going to deny because they are not huge attractions like Disney. Thanks!

I would do them. I did a great restaurant in Palm Springs as a travel review and they accepted it. It is more than a restaurant, as it has a band playing and loads of decorations inside as well as having an entertainment area in the cabana bar.

*SIGH* we just returned from a 10 day trip to CBR. My Expo $$$ paid for our hotel room.

Now, on to plan next year's trip!

I have done a few:

Carter Caves State Park (olive hill, ky)
Natural Bridge State Park (slade, ky)
Yogi Bear Jellystone Campground & Resort (cave city, ky)

All were approved with no problems.

Yes. I have just started working on local attractions in my area. So long as you can find the locations on Frommers or Tripaadvisor.com then you should be golden. Check my profile and see the two couple I have up right now. I did one on the local falls on the Mississippi here in the Twin Cities as well as on on some old ruins on the river as well.

Expo name is the same as here.

We loaded a whole lot of videos on the last day of the month and they were all approved a week ago. So I doubt there should be any real delay.

OMG! That's a lot of money. Any tips for someone who wants to try it out? I've looked at the site, read the payment amounts. Do you try to stick to the higher paying items? Do you just do random? How long are your reviews?
