What's a Persian square? When I was on bed rest with DS I did cross stitch. I made him a cross stitch blankie and made tons of cross stitch pillow cases. It was no surprise what all of my relatives got for Christmas that year.

So how are you feeling today?
Delicious little candy.. It has a chocolate graham cracker crust, vanilla pudding center, and chocolate top. TO GOOD.

So far... I have been napping. We sat down to watch the new Librarian movie, and I woke myself up snoring. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I was feeling great. Bored, but great.. Then I got up, and made the squares.. Now I am really tired, and my whole body hurts.
I am beyond impressed. I picked DS's coat up off his floor and washed it. I forgot to check the pockets and his little Ipod Mini was in it. I washed and dried it. Guess what? It stills works!! Is that amazing or what?!:lmao:
:cool1: :thumbsup2

HYENAS!

I hope you are all having a good weekend. :goodvibes Yesterday my bf and I watched The Day The Earth Stood Still. It has Jennifer Connelly, Jaden Smith (Will Smith's son) and Keanu Reeves. The movie was okay, not bad.

Last night my bf wasn't feeling well so we went straight home after the movie. I made some fried rice for dinner: steamed sticky white rice, cut up some deli meat (pastrami, turkey, ham), chopped green onions and garlic and added a little season all for taste and voila! :) My bf slept for a bit so I went out to Old Navy to find a sweater. My parents invited us to a Christmas buffet at their country club later today and I want to find a nice sweater (since it's cold now). I found one on sale for $15 and I also got a scarf. They had a lot of items on sale. As I was about to head out, the store manager stopped me and said: "This is your lucky day!" Since I spent more than $25, I won 4 free movie passes! :woohoo: He said he had some to give away because some contest winners didn't claim them or something. :confused3 Another one's loss is another one's gain. :cool1: The cashier said: "Is it my lucky day too?" and the manager threw her a serious look and said: "No, employees can't participate." :scared:

I bought my 1st pair of Uggs on Friday. They look like this:

I don't know why but Uggs never struck my fancy before. I'm not sure why I like it now....I guess people change. These are really comfortable and they keep my feet warm. :goodvibes

I downloaded some songs from iTunes:

*Come On Over- Jessica Simpson (I'm not a country fan but this song is kind of catchy).
*Viva La Vida- Coldplay
*What Are You Waiting For?- My Favorite Highway
*Falling Into Place- The Afters
*I Don't Care- Fallout Boy

Its SNOWING!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Its coming down pretty good too. We are all a flutter here in the Staley house. Well.. Except for DH. He is sleeping. and probably just a little pissed about having to drive to work in the snow tonight. Oh well... My kids are scarfing down an early dinner so they can go out and play. I wish dh was awake. The last thing I need to do is slip and bust my butt in the snow... Oh well. This might be our only snow, and the kids HAVE to play in it.

Snow is evil, it melts making puddly mush, being in frozen land... the temp dropped and now we have black ice :scared1:  :scared: :scared1:

Went out grocery shopping in the fine drizzle wet, eveything melting as it is 38 degrees. Load car, drive 10 minutes, stop for lunch -- temp had dropped to 31 degrees in just a half hour of time. Not night time, grey afternoon and now cold front coming in. Got out and slid our way to the apartment with groceries in hand. Thanking oursleves for going out early, haven't looked to see how bad it is now. Hubby will have to get up earlier to defrost the car.

Snow and cold would be good.. this snow, warm up, freeze, bitter cold, warm up, snow.. cycle is the pits!

We are BACK! Its a teeny cold outside. :lmao: But I got some cute pics. Now all of our wet clothes are laid out by the heater drying, and my kids are munching on tater tots... there is only like a half an inch to an inch outside.. Just enough for snow angels, and teeny little snowballs. :lmao:

It's been snowing off and on all day here. But very cold and little tiny, dry snow, blowing all around because we are getting the cold east winds from down the Gorge. Brrrr....

My kids are all a flutter about Christmas. Frelan and I stayed up late last night wrapping up the presents we have so far.... We have everything from us under the tree, and the other stuff is packed in some big duffels.. We STILL need to buy some stuff for Mikalah. Alex has like 6 things from Santa, Mikalah has 2. Good thing she is only three, and still gets excited about socks and panties for Christmas. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

We got a call from the school district. School will be two hours late tomorrow!!:cool1: I was hoping for a full on cancellation, but theres still time. ;)

Good Morning!!! :goodvibes

Trying to catch up, but it is just not going to happen today.

I have to finish my ornaments, go to the doctor for my yearly exam,:headache: finish decorating our tree, and go the ornament party tonight.

And I have a big announcencment to make.

IT'S RAINING HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :yay: :woohoo: :cheer2:

Our mountains are covered with snow!!! It's beeeeeeeauuuuuuuutiiiiiiiiful!!!:cloud9:

Have a great day!:flower3:

:lmao:
Eloy was hoping for a cancellation or at least a delay.

I was like uhhh dear, you KNOW that would never happen besides.. you still have to go to work even if the students don't have school. :rolleyes1

It's a rare event to have a snow day in the metro area, blizzard conditions with a ginormous snowfall OR if the governor says it's too cold and they shut down all the schools ( - 60 windchill type).

Central MN had school closures and 2 hour delays. State hwy patrol closed the interstate in some areas... blizzard conditions with ice underneath the snow.

Run of the mill single digits with -25 windchill is not enough to close.

woohoooo.. sarcasm here in case you didn't notice..

We have a high of ZERO today.

:cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold:

:headache:  Winter sucks. :headache:

Good Afteroon Hyenas,

I woke up around 7am and threw up 2-3 times. I then looked in the mirror and saw that my face had broken out into a rash and is a bit swollen. :scared1: :scared: I'm guessing I'm having some sort of allergic reaction to something I ate. I don't know what it could be....maybe something in the baja nachos I ate? I didn't eat the whole thing and ate less than half of it. I'm not sure if it's something in their salsa maybe? Very odd since I haven't had any problems eating their food in the past. :confused3 I did take one sip of Boddingtons beer and didn't like it. Maybe I'm allergic to beer? :confused3

I called in sick this morning because my throat hurts (I gargled salt water and it helped a little) but my face is still red and looks terrible. :sad1:

I managed to escape jury duty today but I have to call in or check online after 5pm to see if I am summoned tomorrow and have to keep checking until Thursday. I hope I don't get picked. *crosses fingers*

we had a great trip, dh's surgery is over and he's recovering, we are home and gradually getting settled back in... to snow! yowza, what a difference to go from upper 70s to the 20s! :cold:

i am dog tired, though. didn't sleep well during the trip, for various reasons, and had a long travel day on saturday (left the dlh around 9:30 am and arrived home at 11 PM), uff da! :sad2:

anyway, it's good to be home, and i may write a trip report once i get a few must-dos out of the way. i need to get groceries so we have something for dinner, need to figure out how to get a tree this week without dh's help, need to finish up the christmas shopping, and the ever-present :laundy: , of course... :)

Hey! What the heck??? Why did it take so long for you to get home?? Thats nutty. Glad you had a good trip!

So... Frelan got to work, and home just fine last night. I knew he would... he is a really safe driver. SO SAFE in fact... that when we were taking Mikalah home from the hospital, he wouldnt go over 55 on the freeway.. Her little head kept flopping around. It scared him. :lmao: He said it was really icy out, but the freeway was fine. It is going to be CRAZY icy out tonight. Its starting to melt a little now.

Anyhoo.. Frelan and Mikalah took Alex to the bus stop this morning, and waited for 20 minutes and the dang bus never came!! Yes.. we went at the right time. ;) So we took the boy to school.. It was so DEAD. I guess with an inch of snow on the ground the whole city shuts down. :lmao: But it was COLD outside!
